Smile Interesting breed?

Interesting Kittens?

I recently visited a friend to see his litter of kittens..The female is a strange combination of colors, lilac, chocolate, and white. Her markings cover the whole body, not restricted to face tail and legs like a pointed cat. She has awesome royal blue eyes..the color of saphires. Well she comes from a calico (not sure if dilute, was just told 3 colored cat) with green eyes and a red and white with copper eyes. She breeds true, meaning her kittens are blue eyed. I don't recall if the tip of her tail is white, but i'm going over to take pictures of her soon, because I want a kitten or two from her should she have blue eyed babies again! I am wondering if these cats would be Ojos Azules, as the eye color is so deep, and the cats are not white, or pointed. Currently there are 6 females, that are in various homes from this female all the same. Thus far none of the kittens have died as they tend to with Ojos Ajule kittens. I'm thinking of showing the kitten I get if one is born like it's mom. It's so UNIQUE.

Would love your opinions as to what it could be.

Ty.

about the tricolor markings, i have saw a few back alley cats in my residential area like those. so the markings is not that exclusive. i'm planning to have one of them as they're friendly with me

Ojos Azules is quite a new breed. So chances are you need to check whether this cat have breed cert or not. If not, most probably just plain domestic cat.

Another thing to think is the parents eyecolor, not blue? Ojos Azules is known for their blue eyes, regardless of coat colour. So, if parents is not Ojos Azules, then how can their offspring be Ojos Azules?

In Spanish
Ojos is Eyes
Azules is Blue
So Ojos Azules is Blue Eyes

Ojos Azules is naturally occuring - rare but naturally occuring. It's like a munchkin which is a natural mutation, not breed for short legs.

So it could be possible for the mutation to have occured in Malaysia too (see "Malaysia Boleh!" applies to our cats too!).

So keep an open mind we might have a new breed of "Mata Biru"...

Default Not Sure

All I know is it is not oriental, and it is not white, and it has the most beautiful blue eyes..royal blue, with a coat of chocolate, lilac and white patches. The colors are evenly spread over the entire coat. I will be going back soon to pick a kitten, (or two) as spayed pets...I know you don't get blue eyes in a cat that's not white, or oriental..(this is the determining factor in Ojos Azules)I love the tricolor body, wich is reproduced in the litter, am interested to see if the males are the same..or have blue eyes...not sure if the entire litter needs to be blue eyes, i suppose it depends on the sire(wich is the same sire as last litter, as he's the only male on the farm) .

Default eye color in parents

The mothers eyes are royal blue, Her mothers eyes were royal blue, coat in black, cream and white-calico), the female before that had green eyes and bred with a copper eyed orange and white. The resulting kittens all had royal blue eyes. Not sure where the chocolate and lilac came out, but they are definatley that. ( as a persian breeder specializing in the color i recognized it immediately)
The tricolored cats you see, do they have royal blue eyes, a deep ocean blue color, with markings not restricted to head, tail and legs as in the pointed?

Thanks

Tj.

Just tot i share with u something I came across:

Ojos Azules

Native Country
United States

Breed Description
Head: Can be inscribed in an equilateral triangle. Slightly rounded forehead. Angular muzzle. Nose with a slight break. Chin is neither prominent nor receding.
Eyes: Large, roughly round, but not globular. Light blue or gray-blue in color (neither turquoise nor lavender). In the case of heterochromatic eyes, the center of the eye may be gold, copper, or green. Dark colors are preferred.
Neck: Supple and arched.
Body: Neither too long (Oriental type) nor too massive or too short.
Paw: Hind legs slightly longer than forelegs. Medium to fine-boned. Small paws.
Tail: Proportionate to body, ending in a point.
Coat: Short, fine, soft, silky, shiny hair. Undercoat is not particularly developed but must be dense in color. All colors are allowed. White markings common on most extremities (tip of the tail, muzzle, paws). Spots on the belly or chest are faults. Particolors must have a white tail tip. Ojos Azules with solid white coats are not desirable, as they cannot be distinguished from common white, blue-eyed cats. (u)(n). Note that white, blue-eyed Ojos Azules are not deaf like most common white, blue-eyed cats. In addition, only white and colorpoint cats can have blue eyes. The Ojos Azules, which always has blue eyes regardless of coat color, is the product of spontaneous mutation by a dominant gene.
Fault: Too large. Too svelte or too massive. Pointed muzzle. Pale, small, Oriental eyes. Coat too downy, too fluffy. Distinct spots on the chest and belly. Disqualify: eyes not blue. Particolors with a tail tip other than white.

History
Extraordinary dark blue eyes This new breed is descended from Cornflower, a tortie female discovered in New Mexico in 1984. She had very dark blue eyes, a feature normally found only in white or colorpoint cats. The breed’s Spanish name means “blue eyes.” These cats have blue eyes regardless of coat color. In 1991, T.I.C.A. published a standard. The breed is very rare.

Behavior
This cat is active, friendly, affectionate, and easy to groom.
