Anyone had build cattery at home? Care to share the design and the management system ...

How do we start a cattery? How to produce pedigree certificate for our breeding program?

Hmm..this one must be answered by the 'Tok Guru' of catteries. Anyone out there please do help. At least i pun nak tahu. Maybe in future, i would wanna have a cattery too....

Me too. I'm planning to start my own breeding program in the future. But that has to wait until I'm married and settled down.

How to start:
- Space for cattery. Those owned detached/semi-D/ corner lot house with big space definetely find it easy to construct.
- Must have enough money for building the cattery
- Good technical and pratical knowledge on cat breeds and breeding
- Networking among cat lovers and vetenary ... very important
- Support from your partner (hubby/wife/children) ... u definetely cannot work alone all the time.

How to produce pedigree certificate:
- Breeding TOMs/ QUEENs must have certificate and registered with local cat association
- Your Cattery must registered with cat association
- U are member of the cat association

Yes...I agree dgn u Exotic.
Kalau nak buka cattery,firstly u mesti ada commitment dan plan jangka masa panjang.Knowledge paling penting dan quality cat
Jangan buka cattery semata2 nak dapat duit banyak.Bagi I tujuan utama adalah untuk memeriahkan lagi cat assosiation kat Malaysia nie jika banyak breed.

Yes crazycat..once you want to be abreeder and have your own cattery, you should register first. You may register to FSM. Since you are interested you may go to their show on Sept 11, 2004 at A farmosa.

I want to ask you something....If all my pedigree cat is registered with TICA,I still can register my cattery with FSM...????

- U register your cat with FSM/ MCC
- U become a member of FSM/ MCC
- Register your cattery with FSM/ MCC (U must register your cat with them first and have a well build cattery).
