hi doink, its ok to clean the litterbox and refresh the food and drink for the new mother. as for me, i do touch the newborn even just after birth. sometimes its necessary to assist the queen during the birthing process such as helping her to open the sac etc... as for my cats, they didn't hiss like strays to me to get near the kittens... usually the kittens will open their eyes after a week, crawling after 2 weeks, and start walking after 3 weeks... at one month, they already eat bits and pieces of kibbles... weaned after two months... that's my observation of my own kittens... |

Betul tu. Kalau tak dibersihkan darah or whatever is left, semut datang. Experienced it before.

After the queening is complete, leave the mother and kittens to rest.Make sure that the queen is provided with water, food(kitten food) and litter box. If during giving birth some inexperienced cat may require assistant...u should be there...many kitten are born at night..or dawn... Good Luck...

Tyra, my cat, just gave birth last friday. i kept her in a cage i think for a month b4 she gave birth... she got really big and i thought she was about to burst so i put her in a cage too early... hehe
anyway, she and her 5 kittens are in the cage now... she's happy with it.. i think its better to keep them in one place so we can monitor them at all times and not worry too much another reason i put them in a cage is to not let Tyra take her kittens in any of our closets in the hse! make sure she's happy in the cage though.. i do let her out from time to time... mothers do need a break from feeding just another idea to help u with your Queen Good Luck!~
