The question is not what to breed but what your interest is. Which cat that you prefer...We breed cats because we love the cat...that's why you must search which one that you like the most, otherwise you will become another cat mill...it is a pity to see all those cats in small cage. Can hardly move.
Cat which is got a gene mutation such as munchkin, Scottish fold, American curl etc are advice not to breed with a cat which is also got a gene mutation... so you have to find similar cat which is born without any gene defects…but the problem is.. For example you breed a munchkin and a local cat... 50/50 you will got a munchkin kitten but what gonna happen to the other 50???

Hi Ling Fiy,
I agreed with Afi with his stmt that depending what kind of cat(s) suit u. I m not sure u want to cross-breed or normal breeding but one piece of advice that u need to do some research before u opt for cross breeding. U can't let 2 different cats mate without knowing whether there should be any genetic mutation that might occur in the offsprings. This is will give less head and heart aches later.

Breeding is done always with the aim to improve the breed. Breeder also need to ensure the breeding stock is free from any inherited diseases that will not pass the subsequent generation and poluted the gene pool. As such, breeding should be left to the professionals who have great knowlege on breeding. There are many cat and other unwanted animals that are being sent to animal shelters every day and many are put to sleep. We do hope all will not contribute to such populations unnessary.
