Thanks Dr. Lee for sharing the info with us.
Glad to know that there're early neutering practise in M'sia.
At least all my cats that're not meant for breeding can be neutered before being placed in a new home.

There is no age limit to speuter a cat...only how young a kitten can be to have them speutered. Most ethical breeders would spay a Breeding Queen at about 4-5 years and Breeding Sires at around 6-8 years.

Going out of topic a bit, which school did you go to in Oz? I, myself am an Old Geelong Grammarian!

I was graduated in Sydney University. I know Geelong. I did my Year 12 in Taylor’s College in Victoria.

Our clinic is in BDC, Kuching. We only practice early neutering a couple of years back. I found it earlier to spay bitch at earlier age than later than 6 months because it is less fatty inside.

You are welcome. I just want people to aware they can neuter their kittens or puppies at earlier age before re-homing.

Yes, there is no age limit. In very sick pyometra (uterine infection) case, the affected female will be stabilizing first before surgery. Pyometra is common in older entire females.

Spaying will reduce or prevent
pyometra,
mammary cancer,
sexual behaviour (calling),
pregnancy and risks associated with pregnancy,
unwanted kittens.

Castration will reduce
sexual behaviour like fighting, roaming and urine spraying hence reduce injury, wounds, abscesses, lost, contracting infectious diseases and offensive urine smell.

As the happy couple Dru & Melissa pointed out, Klinik Kembiri @ air panas do neutering as early as 2 month. But if you plan to do it for your comming Rag Dolls you can't. Klinik kembiri only accept mix breed and domestic cats. This is pointed out in their phamplet. I also don't know why..
