If loneliness/company was the only issue, I would also recommend rescuing or visiting an animal shelter.
At least there would be 1 less homeless cat. |

MODERATOR, WE IN THIS FORUM AGREED THAT ANY POST LOOKING FOR STUD IS NOT ALLOWED IN THIS FORUM. KINDLY REMOVE THIS THREAD. THANKS. p/s: Hello Jean, If you are looking for a stud, kindly look at the pet stores, being a kitten mills or kitten mills supporters that they are, I am very sure they have contact numbers of those BYB. Here in this forum, we try to educate people about NEUTER/SPAYING, but it's actually up to the owner to do it. Furthermore, this is not about pedigree vs domestic. This is about correct information being distributed. AND YES, Pesians are supposed to look like those in CFA website, there's no such thing as doll face persian actually, they are merely the result from pet quality breeding. As a custodian of your cat, please think about the cat first. When you said you wanted her to have kittens to accompany her... DID YOUR CAT ACTUALLY TALK TO YOU AND ASK U TO FIND A MALE CAT SO THAT SHE COULD HAVE KITTENS AND WONT BE LONELY ANYMORE? The answer is obviously *drum roll* No! Thanks! I can say that, Jean, because I've been a breeder for 42 years almost to the day. I have observed cats very intimately for all of those years and prior, when we had domestics. And yes - there are people worldwide who would say that I very probably CAN read a cat's mind - I'm known as something of a 'cat whisperer', without beating my own drum....only mention because you asked the Q. You are actually anthropomorphising here, when you compare a cat's 'feelings' on a matter such as desexing to those of a human. A cat, to be perfectly frank, couldn't give a rodent's posterior about its reproductive organs not being there - particularly if they've never bred. If they HAVE, and are then desexed, yes, I've seen some pathos in females who try to steal others' kittens. I've known males which never stop the habit of spraying and therefore don't make good pets. If you're not a serious breeder, it's best to have neutered pets, neutered as kittens. And I repeat - what they don't know, they don't miss. They make better pets and are safer - all it takes for a female (or a male on the prowl for that matter) to go missing or become roadkill is for someone to leave a door open for a second or two...or a window only slightly ajar. You'll obviously go your own way on this one, but what a shame that YOUR anthropomorphic instincts and wishes are more important to you that consideration for your cats and cats at large.
