Any idea what cause this black cat having odd eyes.
Obviously not because of white spot gene or dominant white. ![]()

Sorry Suzy. I hope he is mine. The photo was found by my friend in wikipedia.
However, the fenotip make me puzzled on the genetic explanation behind it.

Sorry Engku, should reply your question 1st. He is not mine, in fact as I explain tu Suzy, the photo was found in Wikipedia. However they never explain why. As commonly know, following are the cause of cats having odd eyed Cause The odd-eyed coloring is caused when either the dominant white gene (which masks any other color genes and turns a cat completely white)[4] or the white spotting gene (which is the gene responsible for bicolor and tuxedo cats)[5] prevents pigment granules from reaching one eye during development,[3] resulting in a cat with one blue eye and one green, orange or yellow eye. This rare eye coloring is most commonly found in white cats, although it can be found in any colored cat in which the white spotting gene is present.[3 Obviously, he is exceptional. That's what make me puzzled.
