Thanks. Now I'm learning colours and coat for each breed...
since I got so much time in the office on holidays....not many customers to attend to.

Hi all, I know this kinda late... but I'm too lazy to open a new thread since this is as good. Where can we get a sorta chart to determine the colors that might come out? Is there any websites for it? Tried to search for it, but always end up at tabby markings alone. Ok... let say the parentage is unknown. What color can come out from: 1. Blue tabby (female) x Red Van (male) -Very little red, only a few spots 2. Black tabby (female) x Red van (male) No.. not yet made up my mind to breed my girls. As of now still spaying them. But who knowsssssss, yes? |

My 2 sen and I admit that I don't breed for colour (I'm only breeding ruddy abys at the moment, other colours later maybe) is:
1. Blue + Red = Red/cream 2. Black + Red = still a black tabby As parentage is unknown, the correct answer is really, "only God Knows"...hehehehe ![]()

Hmm... even the red is a van? High white? Basically the whole body is white... only few spots of red? Can't it be sorta bi-color? Blue and white maybe? Even dilute calico? Harlequin? (Wishfull thinking that is.... hehehehe) Quote:
Aha! Thanks CL! This is very interesting and informative indeed! Quote:
Yup Suzy... come on the cat experts out there, especially the breeders and judges! Give us some insights on this! This genetic thingy kinda fun! Now I wonder why I dont bother to study hard for Bio.... hmmm... ![]() |

Aiyoo, berangan aje la...without parentage, very hard to work out la. All I know is Black is a dominant, red and blue is recessive. And that's all I know!!! Why do you think I'm breeding one colour at a time?
