Hiya,
My persian girl is on her first mating call. I'm very keen in breeding her atleast once, looking forward to having her kittens. If you have a boy, and interested in being grandparents please be in contact with me. Please keep in mind it's absolutely non commercial purpose. |

How old is she? Does she come with a cert?

ajayv,
Hi, ajayv. First of all, I would you to know that we do not encourage stud service in this forum unless we have the details of both parties such as both cats are from the registered breeders. I do not see any reason other than that so far. I would be appreciated if you could elaborate more about you and your female cat. About the cat, if she is a Persian, could you tell us her registration association to confirm her breed? Without her birth cert (registration from cat’s association), she is known as a “Domestic longhair”. Hopefully we could get reply from you. Thanks. |

this sounds really serious. Actualy i wasn't offering service but seeking for any keen parties to come to a mutual understanding of seeing our extanded generation "furkids"
I know Zara's breeder did not provide me with a paper, do u think it's too late to get one now. I might be able to be in contact with her breeder if his still in country, last i heard he was migrating together with Zara's parents. I've included a family picture, first is my Zara's mom, followed by her dad, the last pic is my Zara. What do i do now? Why are society endorsed papers so important? I do remember, my vet once told me that I can do my own paper, because Zara got her full health screening. Please help me understand. ![]() |

Without the cat's registry paper, nobody can prove that a cat is a Persian or Maine Coon or any breeds. As for paper printed by yourself, I believe you have mistaken about the cat’s registry certificate. Everybody can print anything by themselves but it is the matter of whether you want a valid certificate or not.
The Cat’s registry bodies are CFA, FIFE, TICA, GCCF and few more (international) including 2 locals’ registries, FSM and MCC. Your self printed paper is not valid because it is a self printed. To obtain the certificate, you must have at the minumum of 3 generations of the kitten (Varies from organizations). It is ok if you do not want to have the cert but under some circumstances when the cat’s breed was asked, how can you prove it? In the valid certificate, it will state all the details about the cats such as the serial number, breeder’s name and the cattery, color of the cat, birth date, the cat’s parents and the owner’s name. The database of the details is kept by the association and it is valid worldwide. For details about it, I believe there are many registered CFA, TICA, GCCF breeders in here who could explain much further. In this forum, we have agreed that cats without papers are a Domestic Longhair (for longhairs) and Domestic Shorthair (for shorthairs).

thanks Jay...
do u think if i track back her breeder, I would be able to get her papers done? this is challenging myself to proof my own child, LOL... Not that my love for her will change, but this paper thingy wouldn't really matter right, if I am not exploiting her to any mass breeding activity and selling kittens. All i just wanted was to extand her family, so anyone with similar interest and not so "kiasu" about the paper thingy please be in contact with me. Thank you very much. |

I guess it won't matter since you are not breeding pedigreed cat and just doing it for your pet. |
