Setapak, Ma'am (see map). Call Mr Krishnan at 40243446 or 012-2581041 for appointment. Clinic opens Saturdays & Sundays. Don't forget to fast him after 10pm to clear off stomach contents in case he vomits and chokes to death during operation and also when groggy. Give him lots of wet food before that though, especially afternoon & evening so he will have plenty of energy for strength and fluid for hydration.

After operation I prefer to give a LITTLE food and water only late at night to let all anaesthetic wear off (groogy and masih boleh muntah) and let it sleep & rest well through the night and then bagi dia sedikit Eukanuba AD (slightly warm at body temperature) or if dia tak mau, then some boiled chicken breast meat yg hancur dlm sedikit warm water.

Good luck, friend!

hope somebody can answer my questions:

- after a female cat give birth, when can she be neuter? have to wait how long?
- what is the best age for kitten to be spay/neuter?
- can i spay/neuter cat after vaccine?
- i heard they said, spay/neuter your cat when he/she is 100% healthy... what kind of healthy, is it like sick, or other desease like FIP/FIV/leukimia?

2 months(done to my cats)

- what is the best age for kitten to be spay/neuter?

with experience vets can be done at 2 months- if not so experience vets they will want to do it at 4-6months (better bf the 6th month)

- can i spay/neuter cat after vaccine?
can

This once again depends on the vet- my vet will say is ok as long the cat is eating right/ poo and urine shows no signs of illness....is just like us human is better to make sure we are fit to an op.
Is better to make sure the cat is in a condition (fit) to go thru' an op.

Mcm orang la, kalau tak healthy nanti boleh mati tak tertahan the stress on the body. For female, boleh kata it is a major ops. Imagine yr mum, girlfriend, wife, sister kena operate to remove womb and ovary, berapa hari kena MC? Like dat lah my friend ...

Spay lepas 2 bulan bersalin at least sebab dapat recover from delivery and also the kittens should be nursed for minimum 2 months. After spaying tak ada susu which is essential to provide optimum nutrition for babies and immunity protection at highest level. My 2-sen worth.

Yes you have to fast the cat a day before the op.

I would fast my cats from 12midnite (as advise by the vet) before their op that would take place by 10-11am. (abt 10hrs before op that is)

Yes, is always better to call for appointment to make sure the vet is free to perform the surgery and the schedule is not tight.

Selalunya, kucing kena bius dulu......and kena tunggu dlm 1/2 jam baru blh op..........lepas op pulak the meow tak terus bangun.......maybe it will take 5hours for the cat to sedar..........but still can be in a condition of mai mai.... Usually vet bagi bawak balik lepas tu lar....so i selalu hantar morning and ambik balik in the evening dlm 4-5 o'clock.
Is always my choice to take my cats back after op, sbb aku tak suka kucing aku duk sorang2 ketakutan dlm klinik, so i will choose to take back the same day where else you can also board yr cats at the vet till the next day. (Male/Female)

Yes u have to go back to the vet to remove the stiches......like myself dah biasa kadang i bukak sendiri after a week or ada kes my cats bukak themselve also got But the most important thing is to make sure to take care the cat after the op......jgn bagi dia byk jalan, main and make sure the wound is clean and the stiches are not open at least on the 1st 4 days....if the stiches is open early the cat can have infection which is not good.
My vet also supplies the cat after op with antibiotics and pain killer (not all vet provide them)

There is also another type of stiches that some vets use which do not require to be remove as it will go off by itself after sometime.

oh like that... suzy... your experience tu, spay/neuter cat in one group (like more than 2) or one by one?

do u think doing it one after another one sihat balik better (better i mean so u can give more attention to 1 neuter/spay after operation), or better do it straight away 2 or more cats in a group for neuter/spay?

Selalu kalau spay female is 1.

But i have done 1 female spay + 1 male neuter

and 2 males neuter.

Sebab for males not complicated and tak yah nak susah2 jaga pun after op.

But females need alot of attention at least for the 1st for days.......so i make sure i can monitor them......selalu pun i ambik cuti on Friday (spaying day) keep a look on saturday and sunday sbb i ada kat umah.......if anything i can rush them to the vet.
