sent my cats to permas vet, next to my usual petshop. male rm 60, female rm 150... there is also another vet nearby, but never tried that one

The cost depends on the weight of the cat/kitten..for male, the castration cost between RM60-RM80 whilst for spaying, it may cost between RM120-RM150.

i am sending my 2 kids over to vet UPM after raya..

male - rm 80
female - rm 120

they are going 2 stay there for 2 nights..macam pakej bercuti lak

that would better because this is your first time right? at least for the two days your cats will be supervise by vets.because the first few days are very important.

as for me,my first two cats stayed at the vet's place for 2 nights also because i have no experienced then for my 3rd and 4th cat,i send them in and take them home right on the surgery day because i already know how to take care of them

i know the two days will feel like forever.be strong ok.hehe.

Not like cuti, dear, in my opinion, b4, during and after surgery, they feel like they r being wounded, maybe slaughtered, they feel very stressed and frightened. They r handled by strangers. Immediately after surgery, when they wake up, they r very scared and long for familiar owners who love them and surroundings to assure them. At this time, if in a strange smelling areas full of strangers and animals, they r actually very scared and stressed when they need to be tenang and assured for recovery. Imagine yr self in a war zone, injured, trying to recover in a strange and preceived dangerous place. Even in well run clinics, with friendly staff, they r strangers to yr cats who long for you for assurance and protection. That is the observation I got from my cats and that is why I always take them home immediately to make sure stress is minimised in a time when they need complete peace for full recovery. Yes, if U leave them for several days, they will still recover in the end, but they suffer more in their silence unknown to us and there is the psychological and emotional toll on them poor darlings.

A thousand thank you, Kulaifornia_kitty. At last a kind soul answered my question. I thought nobody cares. I think I'll sent my Fifi to Gobal Vet in Kulai. I have been to Global Pet & Vet in Kulai but I don't know they also do surgery.

Thank you, thank you Catalina. I have been thinking of sending my Fifi to permas but Kulai is nearer. Afraid the distance will stress out my cat & I wanna bring him home as soon as possible.

I guess you staying nearby kulai too. Global Pet & vet do surgery in all its branches. Currently, in Kulai, Dr Chan is in charge and sometimes Dr Siti will be there too.

ya laaa..if i have the experience its ok laa..but i am also a bit paranoid of leaving them over there..i need them to be supervised..i went there before and the vet clinic is very clean and the staff is very informative..i did survey a few vet but i guess this one in upm is the best one...price and pre & post care..the only setback is that they feed the cats with whiskas..so i am going to pack the food for the 3 days laa..

i don't want to risk the post surgery care...for me,it would be better if they are taken care of by someone far more experience than me..i only have this two kids and i love them soooo much and i don't want them to suffer more just because lacking of experience...
