neutering or spaying your cat make your cat healthy n happy

I suggest U buat masa kitten because it will retain perangai budak2 tu sampai ke tua. I ada experience on that. My Dennis I buat masa umor dia 4 months

U can send them to any other vet clinic near around u

female more costly rather than male
male 60
female 120

Hi Sallycun,

Just share with you my experience of spaying/neutering my cats - pre-op you'd prolly have to ban them from food intake to avoid vomitting which might lead to choking when anaesthesia is administered. After that, usually the vet will keep your cat till they're awake and monitor a bit. I remember for female cats they'd administer antibiotic also to prevent infection not sure for male cats. For male cats this surgery is consider very very minor. For female, it is quite a major one but a safe one. Not to worry too much though - as long as your cats are indoor it should be ok. Treat them like normal, don't sekali-kali touch the wounds - vet advise just pretend everythign is normal and monitor. Examine the wound periodically (female, male i can't even see the incision) and it should be alright. The most cost effective place that I'd known so far is klinik kembiri - u may refer to the link posted by linuxlah for the contact.

Very glad you'd taken the decision to neuter/spay your cat. This is one of the many steps of being a responsible owner. so happy that this forum is educating people on spay/neutering cats

ok.. it's time to spay my choco

marking his territory in the hse..

would like to know whether spaying will prevent him to 'mark' every corner in the hse? (besides mengawal populasi lah kan?)

thx..

In most cases, from my experience, yes, especially if you send him before those nonsense start. Even if he has started, in most cases (80%) it will stop definitely. Most of all about neutering them at this age is they will continue to have that small sweet cute boy's face, and not grow into that huge ugly dragon face that adult unneutered male cats have. They can continue to be slim if u control the food and make sure he remains playful, active & happy!

Klinik Kembiri - male is RM40

On my Golly's behalf, I resent that! He was an extreme case of late desexing - 5.5 years, but he DID have a purpose and a job to do before I neutered him! Huge face, yes. Size of a bread and butter plate. Ugly? Dragon? I think it's gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I have strange tastes!)

BTW - despite being an active stud for almost 5 yrs, he doesn't spray...never has since being neutered. For the first couple of weeks the litter tray still smelt as though a male had used it, but that was that.

By Golly! Thousand apologies for the unintended offense, sayang! Kiss, kiss!
