Default Spay & Neuter

Is it wrong if we don't spay/neuter our cats? Do we make the cats suffer if we don't? And if you do spay/neuter, how would the cat feel???

If I only own one 7-month old cat (that happens to be an indoor cat - and will probably never be in touch with other cats), should I still have him neutered? Will I see any changes in his behaviour? Besides population control, can someone brief me on the pros of having your one and only pet neutered?

And this may sound like a silly question, but what would a neutered male cat look like? Will he have his testicles removed totally? Cause someone mentioned that a neutered male cat looks 'androgenous'.. I wasn't sure if he was half kidding or half serious.

Hi Izad,
neutering ur cat will safe all the trouble of ur cat spraying n meow at odd hours (mengatal lah..) Any changes after a cat had been neutered is they do tend eat a lot so they might grow fat (but owner shud control his cat's eating habit). some ppl said that neutered male cats r super manja to the owner. Like my 2 male cats Wesley n Casper, they r very much manja to me.

Either u hv 1 cat or 2 cats, if u do not intend to breed, i wud strongly suggest to neuter ur cats... tak nak jadi byk kucing terbiar.... sedih tau...

i would do anything [except to harm the cat lahh..] , to avoid my cat from spraying around the house

if they become super manja....it's even better...cause i like manja cats...but not too vocal.

You're right...I have 3 male cats (all at my mom's house for this time being) plus my mom's cats, another 2 males...Just went back 2 my hometown last weekend and 4 of them are on heat!!! Can u imagine how active they are spraying all over the house??? Anyway, try to get my mom to neuter all of them..since they're too afraid to go out from the house & the only female in the house is not in heat..they're fighting all the time!!! The whole house is a bit chaotic at the moment...
Super manja also not a prob for me... Lagi geram kalau kucing taknak manja2 dgn kita....

Izad, if you do not plan to find him a female partner, he will suffer if you don’t neuter him because he has the sex urge - He wants sex but he has no female cat.

Neuter or spay has nothing to do with "will probably never be in touch with other cats". Take human being as an example given in the same situation - living alone, wanting partner but don’t have one, how does make us feel?

Whether the male cat will spray or not, he will suffer when he wants it, same goes to female cats.

Neuter or Spay (when it is necessary)

1) If you do not plan to give partner to you indoor cats
2) If you do not want you cats to roam looking for partners (for outdoor cats)
3) If you don’t want you cats to get pregnant or impregnated others (indoor or outdoor)
4) If you do not have proper plan for their offspring (indoor or outdoor)
5) For health and avoid fighting
6) Many more

1) They will look like healthy cats, fatter and bigger.
2) They will NOT be sissy cats -> If you’re curious about this. Good example, your male cat will still fight if you bring back stranger cats to your house.
3) They will still "MEOOEW" like male cats.
4) They body shape will not change into sexy felines; instead in many cases their body will be built and strong.
5) As for the temperamental, it will stay. If they were born nakal, they will still be nakal - My cat as a classic example. But if they were born with nice and gentle temper, they will be nice lah.
6) They will still be active in playing, stalking, killing insects or even mice (if they can find). They would not be pemalas or couch potatos. Again, this is depending on their "behavior".
7) And many more. If you think they will be "feminine", ohhh youre wrong bro!

I hope my explanation helps.

Tapi kalau nak ikutkan

u must neuter / spay them b4 diorang tuu matured

cam umur 6 month ok lah tuu

sebab kalau dah start spraying everywhere baru nak potong tak guna gak

cam my DENISS D MENACE, I neutered kan dia masa umor dia 6 months xcellent temperament

but My ROMEO, after 2 years baru neutered dah tak guna tetap spray jugak
