Exclamation 4 Months old baby kitten already humping 6 months old female cat!

My male cat Boomer is an American Curl with blue markings and long-haired. My boyfriend has another cat, Doddy a female siamese. Usually I would bring my cat to his house for a 'play-date' and they would play together and when I go back I'll take him home with me.

Doddy recently went into heat for the first time two days ago. I happen to bring Boomer over that day. She was meaowing and being affectionate and when I arrived my tiny, 4 month-old cat started humping her. It was a weird sight since my cat is so much younger and tinier than the female and he could not even reach her to penetrate her sexually. But he was biting her neck, and she was obeying. Clearly somewhat disturbing when your cat is still a baby with a weight of 1KG

Just want to ask you guys here, what do you think? Is it normal? Can Boomer be biologically prepared to impregnate Doddy?

hmm.. last time my friend's male cat did the same too.. the male was abt 8 months old while the female was 1 year ++ old.. same thing happens the male bites the neck of the female.. the female obeyed.. but the male could not get his xxx into the female xxx because of size difference.. the female was bigger.. this went on for quite a while until we decided to seperate them as the female suffered injuries on her neck.. and she never got pregnant

Unlikely he could get her pregnant - YET - but it certainly sounds like a joint trip to the vet is in order!

sorry to intrude on your thread. hehe

newbie question. what are the early signs to look out for if your kitty is in heat? i have a female kitten (about 3 months old) we havent spayed her yet and worried that once she's in heat we'll find some strange male cat in our house. we have a few strays here and we dont really want to deal with that.

also.. not sure if this is true.. i heard from a friend that his cat (also a female but had been spayed) still showing signs that she's in heat. what's that called? so that i could probably google it later.

thanks... and sorry again

Elkorama, some female kittens come into heat at 4 months old and can get pregnant (dangerous for the kitten sebab dia kecik lagi) then so if your female kitten > 3 months, elok lah buat appointment dengan Klinik Kembiri utk spaying.

If after spaying your female cat masih show signs of being in heat, it is a possibility that the operation was not done cleanly and remnants of the ovary has been left behind. However the cat will not get pregnant bcos the womb had been removed.

Tapi tak syok la if the vet surgeon did not do the job properly bcos the poor cat will need to go through all the stress of another operation again in order to investigate and remove any remnants yang ada kalau the owner finds the condition unbearable.

I have check with my vet abt this and he says that if the female kitten is below 5 mths old, very unlikely she will get pregnant. however, i do not want to take the risk and will bring my female and male kitties tommorow to be spay

Aiyoyo ... all my Caroline's 3 little girls were preggie at that age U know! Me being newbie at that time thought it was just worms but after deworming itu perut-perut masih growing!

I rushed to spay them without knowing they were in early stages of pregnancy. I cried when after the operation the vet told me every one of the little girls were pregnant with 3-5 little babies! They were all so small little girls themselves, most probably would have died delivering the babies themselves!

Thank God my little girls survived the operation too ...
