Why did you decide to neuter/spay your cats ?

Banyak sebab..diantaranya:-
1. tak nak tengok banyak kucing2 terbiar beranak byk2, kena langgar (tak de pengawasan), kena pukul atau dizalimi
2. tak nak menggangu ketenteraman jiran2..sbb kalau kucing nak mengawan tu dia akan mengiau kuat2 hati (selagi tak jumpa 'patner' yg sesuai)
3. risiko penyakit pada kucing akan berkurangan

~ so i don't have more cats - enough already
~ to have more peace and quite in my house
~ so i can adopt more strays in the future if i don't get "presents" from my own cats
~ for the cats own good, and mine!

1. so that i can give undivided attetion n love to them..
2. so that i know that they will be well fed n taken care of..
3. so that i can adopt more cats in future...
4. so that cats expenses stay in my budget..
5. so that i can put them in one cage without any worries...

When Ist adopted my 1st pet cat-DSH, I was educated and told on the importance of sterilisation, so all my cats at the age of 6 months would be either spayed or neutered - no questions asked.

I choose to neuter my cats..........because I know my limits and I know I can't have too many to feed and I also understand that along the way there will be others that has been already born to this earth that is waiting for a little love and care.....

Above all I don't want to see many more hungry faces on the streets...

i must agree what suzy said earlier. i have my limit & i dont think i'll be able to divide my love for them if i have to many cats at home. and this is my first time having cat. so still in the process of learning. but some ppl say, "why must u castrate/neuter ur cat? do you want your parents do the same thing to you?" how can we answer this?

Answer them......."If you were to have children, would you have the large quantity of children or a small number of children with good qualities?" Even human beings plan their family. Only we human has the ability to think and make this world a better place.

If there is a will there is a way

i must say that family planning is the best thing that ever happen to human population... imagine if no such thing as family planning, the only way to avoid overcrowding is by killing (god forbid!), natural disaster, disease and old age... our standard of living also must be very bad...

nowadays we human tend to have lesser children because of high standard of living and wanting to provide as best as we can... previously, we human have more children because no family planning and many families can sustain themselves (read : farm life)

cats on the other hand, are different from us. they breed for survival of their species. anyway, a "queen" without kittens and a "tom" without sex drive makes a happier and better cats. btw, if you have babies, do you think that you will be happy if your parents give you babies to strangers or leave them at the wet market if they can't afford to keep them?
