Default Our new Kelisa :)

After a great lost last week, me and my gf are really sad about the situation. So, we have decided to go for stray cat hunt around Miri. So, first we went to every pet shop there is. None are really that fancy in our eyes, because we didn't aim for a persian. But we came across a really sore to our eyes...

A pet shop that sells all sort of animals which they round them up at the enterance. There was cocks, pigeons, rabbits..but what really makes us mixed with feeling is when we look up and saw..

2 cute little kittens kept inside a cage, where it is worst to see them infected with a skin disease. So I asked the tauke what was wrong with the kitten, and he said "ahh...dia kena skin disease". I wondered did he sent the kittens to any vet as their condition is really bad. Poor little guy...even the store dare to sell them for RM380+.

So, then we proceed to KFC to buy something to eat. It was tiring all day going for the hunt. But I was full so we tapau a bit fried chicken to bring back.

We wonder around Miri and found a lot of cats, but really are independent kitties, so we just let them be and fed them some bites from my tapau. Until one time, I saw a small kitten wondering under a parked Kelisa. She played hard to catch until I finally trapped her with my fried chicken on my palm.

She was too hungry and went for it..poor girl. I picked her up and quickly bring her to my car and fed her.

At home, we quickly took out foods and drinks for the lil kitten. She was really hungry as she at the whole bowl in less than a minute.

When it was time to bath her, I opened the kitchen water tab and the kitten realized it and trying to escape..but I snap a pic of her before she hides away. Took us 1/2 hour to lure her out.

Finally, she is tamed by caresses and cudling, she was still a bit scared of anything accept for us. So, we decided to give her a name, Kelisa...because we found her under a Kelisa

So, Kelisa is our new family member. As I am writing this, she is sleeping next to me...man she sleeps a lot. As for the first night as she was sleeping with me, she already learnt where to poo and eat really fast. That's a relief. We don't know what kind of breed she is, but whatever she is or will be, we will care for her like her own mother would.

The End

We and Kelisa would like to say hello to kitten.com.my

congrats to you!!! I was really touch with the story.Kelisa was lucky you guys found her. Now she will be in good home with loving parents. but I couldn't stop thinking about the poor kittens in the pet shop.what will happened to them. This morning I went to the pet shop near my office to buy food my kitties at home. I saw 1 kitten which they sell for RM980. Claim to be non pedigree persian with pure white fur and blue eyes. He is really adorable and playful. I saw the posting that he was born on 28/12/07. But the thing that caught my eyes is the condition of his cage.his litter box is dirty and poo poo everywhere. I feel like to take him out from the cage rescue him from whatever he has to go through. The food they gave him is 'cincai' food. I regretted I went to this pet shop.I can't stop thinking about this kitten until now.

congratulation! Nice name you given her. When i found my cat last Nov while serving my kembara I initialy name him Pero2 but it sound odd calling Pero or Otue. Since he is a siamese I gave him a Thai name starting with P. So I named him Phaibun meaning To Prosper and Nai mean Master, Phaibun Nai, to prosper master. Prosper with loyalty and respect. No need litter training he just know what to do just like Kelisa. Take good care of Kelisa.

Thank you all for words of support. And for some reason, a pregnant cat is wondering around our house compound. We'll monitor her just in case, and I've bought some extra frieskies to feed her just to get her to trust us. Wish us luck
