maybe u can invest in a big cage so you can confine your cats when you're not around as for me, i let my cats' room window open and meshed since they're in a balcony-less room

It really depends on the cats. During my student days I moved from a house with a gated backyard to an apt with with no balcony. My 2 cats were fine and had no problems. I leave the windows open (it had netting) and they used to sit there.

But I have a friend who lived in a 3-brm apt with balcony then moved to a 1-brm apt with a sliding door but no balcony. After a while her cat started to pee and poo everywhere, including in the bedroom. Then she had no choice but to lock the cat in the washing area while she's at work.

most important is that ur cats wud hv space to run around n also a quiet place (or 2) for them to rest or sleep... what u can do (perhaps) u can place a small table by the window (with the window closed of course) so that ur cats can leap on the table n do their regular bird-gazing...

juz remember 1 thing lah... always introduce ur cats into a new home after the big furnitures (sofas, cabinets, beds etc) had been in the apartment so that ur cat can memorize the layout of the hse/apartment...

ur cats might behave as per the 1st day u had brought the cats back... play with them or rather spend quality time with them for the 1st few days or maybe a week to ease their tense...

Hey abby. I live in a studio house. It's on a private property kat Sg. Penchala. (A wedding present )

My kitties run around the house and they have their favourite spots aswell. I don't confine them in cages as my hubby doesn't like the idea of cats being locked up. He said they're not chickens. Well, opinions differ yes I know .

We do sediakan a big cage for emergencies in one corner. There's a corner for them to eat, poo and several corners for them to sleep. I said several because I set up 3 spots, but in the end, they like to sleep with me on the bed at night when it's cold and somewhere else when it's hot. Never at the same place. Ah, you know cats and how they are. Picky indeed.

So far, they don't scratch on the sofa cause there's a scratching place and they love their scratching place . I don't know if I made this house a cat friendly house but it looks like it is.

There were a few incidents where my valuable glasses broke but I taught them not to jump on tables and now they are being good. The only thing is, that I have to clean thoroughly once in a while frequently cause their fur's everywhere.

My cats do love relaxing by the window. They always hunt for little bugs there.

Also, my cats are happy cause they can run from one end to the other chasing each other. As long you don't have only 1 cat, then I think it's going to be alright.

Good luck!
