All the mak salleh cat house design is great but we cannot implement kat sini... panas !!! I ader plan baik punya design ala2 kat quarantin but :

1.Cost to high - papan/kawat big No No.. tak tahan dan senang orang nak curi... bawa cutter jer dah cukup...so all must be brick and if can be tiles so harga nak sama ngan harga sebuah flat !!!
2.Very hard to control the odor - 1 or 2 ekor tak per... tapi kalo dah berpuluh2... pening kepala
3.Siling kena tinggi so udara senang beredar dan tak panas
4.Kena ada kelulusan this n that... rumah kampung tak per...perumahan - banyak hal dengan developer... lum masuk jiran2 lagi.
5.Permanent - if u stop having cats or pindah... leceh nak runtuhkan semua.

So aper I buat is creat a place outside that low cost with fan n grill all round... close the back portion so the smell wont go to my neighbour... its better if you have fan equip with auto timer on/off 24/7.Its not a perfect cat house that I dream of but one must be practical. I still have a lot to improve my cat house cuma $$$ jer yang tak cukup... kalo ader... my cat house sure meletup... The best is to have a bungalow or rumah kampung... so you dont have to bother about neighbour yang kepoci about your cats...

one year staying in my house and nothing yet on the catroom plan

how i wish i bought this house! http://www.umland.com.my/serialam/t...impiana_fpa.htm
the floorplan is just perfect for me and the cats - it has a connecting toilet and also an internal courtyard... just come across new housing development right after i sign my agreement! not my luck maybe

my current catroom is on the groundfloor. i still haven't decide to make the tiny 10 ft by 6 ft space into a courtyard or into a wet kitchen. i dunno yet whether i can afford to build a balcony in the future but it can be troublesome to transport the catstuff upstairs!

Hei just start with what you have later you can add on or change.

Yr 10ft x 6ft can be turn into a courtyard if there is proper ventilation and sunlight.......if not best to remain it as wash area or wet kitchen.

I prefer my cats to have the upstairs room so that the busy bodies can have a better view of what's happening outside....(bird view)

I would prefer to have a rumah kampung those big lands with.......neighbours far far away......... There is one beutiful kampung house I saw in a drama series in tv sometime back "Kiranya Aku Tahu"........the kampung house sooooooooooo nice sampai compound of the kampung house got sungai following across the garden........damn big.......and cantik sangat cantik..........

How I wish my great grand parents had left the piece of land in Bagan Serai with the paddy field to my name..........

Anyway Afi, I think you have done great with your current house!

he he, now just be content with what i have la anyway, i'm glad finally have a place to call home, even though i have some displeasure af the layout - guess you have to built your own house rather than buy mass made house to be fully satisfied.

i preferred to put my cat upstairs too, since they can see a lot of things happening around, but to do this, i have to save lots of $$$$$ or pray for better bonus next year. then i can built the balcony, give my cats a proper place with their own toilet and enclosure. as for the heavy bags of kibbles and litter, maybe can rope my husband to lug everything once a month... and send him to throw the trash

btw, my current cat room is quite small in size, not very well lit and ventilated, that's why i'm not really satisfied on what i can give to them
