Dear Cat Lovers,

I'm calling upon all our creative minds out there to share designs that you have for making your home cat friendly. Any designs at all, be it a cat section, cat room, garden conservatory, back yard annex, anything! If you already have homes like these with fab cat rooms and such, the better, so share your photos.

So come one, come all, lets start cracking our heads on ideas of a dream home for our beloved furballs!

The garden conservatory is made of glass and covered by transparent fibre roof for natural sunlight. Ideally it should house your pets, a mini fish pond, simple landscaping and some wood furniture.

The master bedroom, living hall, kitchen and dining area are separated from the conservatory by the see thru glass. So mum gets to look at her plants while cooking, dad gets to see his fish in the pond first thing in the morning from the master bedroom, kids get to see their dogs and cats playing while having breakfast in the dining area and guests get to enjoy the beautiful garden while relaxing in the living hall.

In the evening, all family members can have fun in the conservatory doing gardening, feeding fish and playing with pets.

This is a (really) rough sketch of my house.

On the original layout, there is a garden on the right side. It's tiled and mostly has potted plants, and little ponds made from pots. It's directly linked with the living room, separated by a grill and sliding door.

What I'd like to do is build a roofless enclosure around the tiled garden, and can be accessed from the living room via the sliding door. There also needs to be a door on the outside as well so that we can water the plants.

What I need to do is convince my dad to agree to this. His suggestion to me?? That I move out and wreck my own house

Sadly, I won't be able to redesign my dad's garden . But he did say I can do whatever I like to my room balcony.

I thought I could do a little play spot up there. Put netting all around it, add potted plants, scratching posts and a tree bark for tehm to climb. Leave the room door open so the kids can access it whenever they like. It already has a roof but somehow it's really hot up there coz my room faces the afternoon sun. Then my poor babies terjelir-jelir lidah kepanasan.

Maybe not such a good idea, huh?

Sya I think you should wait until you move into your new place and you can do whatever you want - cat paradise!!!!!

how about adding some water feature like a small bubble fountain? it can also become a watering hole for the cats. having a little spot is better than having none
