Jus bcos 1 cat can swim out of the water doesn't mean the others can. Even a duck which normally can swim, CAN drown in water due to disorientation and exhaustion. I personally rescued a DUCK yg sesat in the sea in Linggi area when I was out in my kayak, bcos cruel swimmers played a cruel joke on the poor animal and dumped it in the sea. I guided the poor terrified, exhausted, disoriented thing to the shore and forced it up to land. Bulunya yg normally has an oily layer to keep water off its body and help keep it afloat habis basah kuyup, affecting its buoyancy. I was shocked and horrified. Thank God I managed to save it! Just a duck, but to me, it is a living thing with every right to life as we are. Some ppl do cruel things unintentionally due to ignorance. They do not think of the consequences of their actions and can even consider it all as funny.

i strictly believe this is a sick joke. i was in upm for five years. the cat population over there is normal. its not everywhere you turn your head and saw a colony of cats. sometimes there are no cats at all. cats are present mostly at food stall area. and yeah, lots of students have pet cats too, but many are responsible pet owners and we did not dump our cats prior to semester break! most of us would take the pain to bring back our loved ones back home!

Red face

mungkin yg kalut2 ni tak baca jawapan semua x UPMians kat sini.baca main thread terus wat reply

TASIK tu.... tempat makan....jangan gelabah sangat...... mungkin kucing2 tu berasa bersyukur ditempatkan di situ dan di PADANG (kang pasni ada yg kalut agi tgk word ni ) sebab disitulah banyak terdapat makanan yang banyak & tempat selesa sbl di adopt oleh insan yg sudi ngan kucing terbiar, daripd terpaksa berjalan sekitar kampus seluas Kuantan utk mencari sesuap makanan utk diri & anak2

Default This is so cruel!

I can't believe we have monsters living among us disguise as human. This is sick!.

No one have the right to torture any living thing especially animal.

this is an old thread open by me ler. like everyone said it could be that the cat is throw at the food stall area.

anyway my friend who is a lecturer and a felo in UPM said that the population of cats and dogs in UPM has gone low. he said since the vietnamese were around there.

hurmm..
but..i disagree if they just dump cats at the upm padang..
most of the cats there r seriously sick..really2 sick..i did bring back 1-2 but cant afford to bring back all of them...only those sick and really skinny..after they get well i put up for adoption.. thats all i could do for them..but pity them really..eventough they all really kenyang at padang but the health..really poor...

guess i really cant change the situation

once or twice a semester, vet sudents will collect cats and practise desexing them. how its done i'm not sure. but my vet student friend told me and other friends to put collar on our pet cats. the vet student herself took care of lots of cats, maybe 9 lah... all white except one. i only have two that time.

btw, serdang have lots and lots of lakes. one of the lakes have a food court which we call TASIK. another popular foodcourt is called PADANG. but there are no football field there! anyway, its pretty nice living in serdang. during my final year, i rent a hostel room overlooking a small lake and my cats enjoyed playing near the lake and at a secondary forest nearby
