last year i had this bad experience cat grooming. i send my cat to a petshop that do grooming for cat (near leisure mall). so on that day, i went to the shop and ask if they do cat grooming? he say YES we do . How much? RM40... then i ask my cat need to have a flea shampoo... he said dont worry just add RM5 we will give the best flea killer. i was so happy lah.. total only RM45.

2-3 hours later, i came back. When i enter the shop. The guy told me, wah your cat very "garang", he scratch my staff while "mandi".

Point One! - a good grooming service will also clip the cat sharp nails before bath.

Then i said sorry lah. he is will be scare if someone do hard stuff on him. (i perli back)

after paying i bring back home... when i open the carrier, my cat do not go out. i call him, then he go out macam orang mabuk! unstable! cant even move the legs! i was surprise! few minutes later he v omitted.

then i call that shop, asking why that cat is like that and tell him the situation. Guess what he answer... "WAH YOU CAT CAN MATI LAH LIKE THIS!, YOU CAT NEVER USE FLEA KILLER BEFORE?", i replied Ofcourse pernah, frontline, shampoo, even the groomer before did it too.

he was scared already, and advise with "glukos", "soft food".. bla bla bla..

I bring my cat to the vet that i usually go. The vets wanted to help me "sue" that petshop if my cat died. when i mention the petshop to the vet, they smile! they said, other people have this problem before, and we spy on that petshop, and found out they actually use DOG FLEAS KILLER to a CAT!

no wonder my cat mabuk, because of overdos! and actually poison my cat at the same time

before grooming start, they did mention they are not vets, but they give vaksin and deworming. - GOsh! lucky i did not accept that offer, else they will give poison

i took my cat 3 days to recover from the over dosage. from that day onwards, i promise will never go to that shop anymore!

the petshop name please because there are few numbers of petsop and vet there right?

at that location got 1 vet, and 2 petshop.. the one i was telling about is PetsToAll.

Someone told me another story about this guy in Miri. A friend with a doberman, Dr. Ling goes around town (and Brunei) in his van for mobile services which includes house visits for annual vacinations. One day the dog died of distemper and the dr. allegedly said ' oh forgot to vacinate him for distemper.' I can't believe this, I've lost all confidence in this doctor plus all the other stories I've read in the Miri forum which include overdosing! I'm so worried about my dog now, did she get the adequate vacs or not??

Stories keep coming now...allegedly, another time, an expat lady sent her Persian cat for boarding, she got away as well like my cat and they found his head out side, the rest eaten by the guard dogs. Apparently, he 'replaced' the ladies cat with another Persian cat. If this is true, then it has happened before, and no additional measures has been taken to ensure it will not happen again.

And he told us, in the 15 or so years he had been operating, there has been no such incident.

So, is time to take action. no more coffeeshop talk.why don't we start published the story in The Star or others newspaper until the power to be do something abt it. do you have anyone you know encounter this problem with the same clinic?? gather those people and get their story tell.

Thats what i intend to do. I am writting to the editor of Star, a letter to share these stories. But writting to editor doesn't mean getting published either.

Does anyone have a better idea how to bring this out to the open? We have to make people realise that we (pet and animal lovers) will no longer tolerate mediocre services and unaccepatable attitudes.

I wonder if you still have the consent form for boarding. I have learn so much regarding consent forms of late and if you upload the copy probably we can look at each item diligently. Easier to approach the vet. Ask your cat club if they also have a solution how to handle these sticky situation. There are a few professionals there that may be able to help you.
