thanks lesley for trying to save our friends. i feel sick looking at cats and dogs + whatever animal not supposed to endure such unstimulating environment. everytime i go to a petshop surely i will visit them, but with a whole lot of pity in my heart. so sad to see a petshop that is not pet friendly

Yes same to me lah, seeing the animals suffering from the ignorance of the petshop owner. Just wonder what else can you do about it here other than not buying anything from that petshop. ??????

OK, troops...help, please. I judged a show (part of an expo) late Feb 04 in a shopping mall venue on the same level as a Pet Safari outlet... what branch is that, please?

There's a war of words going on one a particular list in Oz, and I have posted some pics I took at that shop, in particular of a cream pt male exotic imported from WA, who lived in that shop for 1 yr 4 mths, (so it turns out) having not sold. He was apparently served up many females to mate prior to some kind soul buying him (all of this is on a cat lovers' list) in March this year. He is now desexed and obviously much loved!

I would be MOST interested to know whether Pet Safari has its own "breeding facility" (guess it must, for him to be used as a stud?) and anything else anyone can tell me. The Mytcute breeder, Gail Hollomby, has been most...ahem... "passionate" on the list (of which she's not a member) using Shirley Kajewski's computer/list membership to join in debate. Those names ring bells, anyone???? Emails (rather than PM) offline most welcome, if you would like to give details that way.

Default Photo taken Feb 04

Have emailed the URL of the Pet Safari cream pt exotic story to another forum member because I'm too daft to be able to attach it, but here is the photo I took myself. Sorry for lousy quality...it was a covert operation!

Suzy, we've had similar claims here in singapore. Buyer get a cat from the pet store. Pet shop says.. sterilise the cat first then we will give u the cert. Problem is they turned out not to have the certification and they did not know who the breeder was nor how to contact her! In the end they supplied middleman's name instead..who turned out to be unhelpful(big surprise. NOT).

on top of that pet stores do make u sign a "no refund" contract and also a form that states that they are not responsible if the animal is sick/dies etc. which is just nonsense cos you KNOW its their fault!

Sorry Lesley.......I'm not too familiar with matters related to Pet Safari. Maybe other forumers who make a frequent visit to the place can assist you better to this matter.
