Just to inform that there will be a Cat Show in January. All details will be annouced later when the organizer finalised the event.

So for those who like to join the show..now start maintaining and grooming your cats. For domestic cat competiton, the rules and regulations are not so strict.. as long they have nice body, healthy, nice furr, good maintenance from the owner, clean ears and pamper enuff to play some trick on the judge table..the chance untuk menang besar. So mulakan sekarang ajar your cats playing with feathers... and make sure that your cat are friendly enuff.

Till further notice....so keep grooming your cats...

Kalau nak cuba in domestic cat category, what sort of tricks expected?

Jumping up, coming when name is called, sitting and lying down on command cukup ker?

Or do we need to come up with more fancy stuff? I think my kitten can be taught to fetch also.

Takut, we both end up looking stupid if all the other cats are geniuses or star performers

okay for domestic one, normally they will judge as what I said before. Then(the judge) will play with feather and see the respond of your cat, some cats are so quiet. But not to worry, some judge will not counting this part.

For FSM club, there is no fancy dress competition and cage decorations. Only MCC will organize this competition. But some sponsorship will request for that.

Not to worry, for show the owner will not involve at all during the judging time...unless they need your help in term of handling your cat. Becoz some cats are only can be handled by the owner. Sebab garang. but becoz of that the chance of winning tipis since domestic cat shud be manja. Ye tak.

So shiloh...that will be fun show..so not to worry so much.

Thanks Catlover. that's a relief. when in jan 2005 will this be? will it be on a weekend (saturday or sunday) becoz work days i kena kerja.

usually how long are this cat shows? how long must the kitty be there? is the kitty area away from crowds (nanti kan orang kacau dia). has there ever been cases of cats getting infected with disease from other cats at cat shows. always want to know as much as possible before deciding...

Say, while the judges were gently stroking my cat and he turns and scratch them, what would happen?

My MC (Rory) doesnt like people to stroke his back for long, i have no idea why!

As for the cross-persian (Trey the fat), he has no problem at all. In fact, you can make him pose for photo session in any moves.

So answer me, if the cat turns back and scratch/bite the judges, would there be any penalty?

Okay normally mereka akan organize on weeknd..sunday...and the show will start at 9 and end up at 4-5 pm...lama kan..tapi it depends how many judges yang ada...kalau dua category sorang judhge tu yang lama..tapi mereka akan restrictkan participant...so far I have no idea on that but normally befotre you enter the ring..your cat havs to check up by the vet kat show tu...kalau ada fungus, flea mereka akan tolak...

So kalau ada show nanti kita join ramai-ramai...baru seronok..then u getting know ramai owner and breeder....

For Jay...
Ada jugak kes macam tu..whilst judging then the cat turned and scratched the judge...terlepas..kelam kabut sekejap..heheheh tapi that cats will disqualified...so some domestic kat u akan tengok memang manja kat rumah...eventho dengan orang lain..but while kat show..they become aggresive...so normally steward yang incharge akan cuba handle kucing tu..tapi jika terlalu teruk... owner akan dipanggil untuk keluarkan kucing dari cage...tapi kalau owner pun tak boleh..then automaticly disqualified..
