Thanks for clear it up. For those who call/PM and msging me through MSN earlier (the non-breeders, cant tell names), please chill. As I assured you guys that we dont force people to show but we would love to see you showing your cats. Thanks.

I was asking myself the other day... So what if I had an excellent cat that has won so many titles? Who actually cares? At the end of the day the ribbons are just ribbons. It's the ups and downs in life that you have gone through with your cats and your breeding experience that matter, aint it?

Hihi, yes Karl, I agree who cares! It's just tittles right? A piece of paper, you don't even win anything actually, just ribbons!
But well, I like winning, if my cats win, I'll be the proudest mom! Like if you have kids, if he did so well in any competition, wouldnt you be proud of the achievement?

Saying that, doesn't mean if your cat loose you'll be ashamed or loose face! It would be more reason for you to improve, wouldn't it? Sometimes, a cat not doing good in a competition not just because it was no good, temperament, condition etc plays an important part as well... so what should we do? Improve! That is if you still want to show.

p/s: I would still want my cat to improve in condition and temperament eventho it's not for showing! I believe a cat's temperament and condition should in top notch at all times, jgn la masa nak show je groom... hahaha!

Through showing only will you know how your well you are doing in breeding and your cats' standard. In short, shows enable you to improve the breed of cat you are working on. On a personal level, yes, we feel proud and satisfied of our cats if they win because it shows we have worked hard, loved and cared for them.

Well for me showing is a fun things we learn new things in the requirement of showing in term of grooming....and temprement... BEside i also get to learn more about the breed standard of cat i like and also knowing more about other breed.. a as well as improve the skill of reading a cat in a specific breed.....and more closely understand the color class in the show... Well i have to agree with Abbymummy and Coony that Champion with 4 winner ribbions is nothing to be happy about if the cat is the only one in the color class...... Well as for what faieza say what about showing for neutred cats... There are lots of benefits for the owner non-breeder... where we can learn how to condition our cats in the show.. and the fun part is actually preparation of the cat before the show....

Default Winning means much more than just winning...........

hey guys, I guess the most important thing to me, a breeder of my beloved breed, of winning a cat show is all about justifying the effort spent on the breeding process................study of bloodlines, matching of different typed cats for one that desired, pre-delivery preparation, nutrition, daily maintence and grooming......................

I pretty much knew I did a good job before the show and when everything kicked started...........I would just keep cool and leave it to God to decide what my cats and I would deserve..............

Well... The Grooming part is really fun I spend the last 3 weekend grooming a few cats.. and the spend the entire day groomings all the cats... to prepare for the show... Don't you think they are lovely and good looking in the show hall....??? This is what i mean is fun.. the LABOUR Hard work is fun.... come on karl... that is all about preparing for the show...
e.g Look at simon tail.. if Coony wasn't preparing simon for the past few month he wouldn't look as grand as he look on the show day...So the effort and time does count on and the credit will be given to you hahaha....
