sorry pussy... yep its 1 mth quarantine.. quite sad.. but here in championship not many scottish folds take part.. who knows, if u took part, maybe u can bring back a few ribbons! hehe... in addition to quarantine also need nipah vaccination. very troublesome for u. i did consider showing cats in malaysia next time when i do get my dream cats.. hehehe... but on the way back must quarantine.. haii... our july show is close to urs... actually a few of us may come down .. urs is 1 week after ours. hope to see u guys there!

S'pore cat show is begining of July n Kl is end of July..anyway, our Sabah Cat Show Carnival is fix on the 29th May....any1 fr s'wak 1 2 join?....

I don’t think I will put my cats into unnecessary stress ever just for 1 month quarantine.

Is there a Nipah vaccine? We are very strict, we cannot even use Rabies vaccine in Sarawak afraid there may be an Rabies outbreak due to Rabies vaccination.

I hope in future I will sell some kittens to West Malaysia and Singapore and they can take part in the cat show over there.

I have booked my air-ticket. I will enrol my kittens in the Sabah Cat Show. So see you soon.

I will most likely b going 4 the Sabah show 2 after the Bangkok show in which May will b a tight schedule 4 me. So will most likely b seeing u 2 Pussy.

I think it's a slight mistake by heartkiel, it is actually a Nipah virus blood test instead of Nipah vaccine.

is it?? i thought its vaccination against nipah.. i dun understand.. hmm.. why would giving a cat protection against rabies cause an outbreak of rabies?

ling.. our show date in singapore is still set for the 17th of july. there have been no changes yet..

Good question, maybe the Sarawak veterinary dept can tell us y.

It is possible for an animal received Rabies vaccine develop Rabies disease within 6 months period. Sarawak is Rabies free region and it doesn't want to take any risk of introducing the virus into the state through Rabies vaccine or other means. The same reason, why most countries require 6 months quarantine upon or before arriving for the imported animals. Since these animals are required to be vaccinated against Rabies.
