Yeah..we should support new exhibitors..even they are our competitors..we should lead them to right track..Sometimes, I saw senior exhibitors 'looks down' and even 'make joke' when the new exhibitors lose.

Remember...these new exhibitors soon will contribute to the show growth and counts..so, start motivate them!!

When it come to this point I always see it happen in the show hall or after the show... There were many cases that some owner always say their cats doesn't behave like this when at home.. Well i am pretty sure that most of the cat are lovely at home.. The problem is they are not well socialize on the show and as well as outside of the show.....So start socializing your cat today..... Don't blame others..

Meanwhile I would strongly emphasis that the judges decision is final and no one could argue. If there is a dissatisfaction exhibitor or spectator should do a protest thru a proper ways to the respective show management or central office by filling up protest form. NOT by making noise and scene in the showhall..

If I had a dollar for every time I've heard "He/she isn't like this at home", I'd be sunning myself in the Bahamas right now. There are various reasons cats do or don't show well - a very few are psycho, but some are timid because they are spoilt single children and can't cope with other cats (or with doing anything they damned well don't feel like), others just aren't 'humanised' - not enough real contact with people....etc, etc.

But training is necessary for the showbench if you're deadly serious about showing. (Breeding them bomb-proof is a bit help!) Normal household noise and a variety of people handling them helps. And exposure to kids is one of the best 'bomb proofers' I know.

Look at how judges handle cats of different breeds and that gives a clue as to the sort of training that should happen at home. And if you've got a real showoff (like my aby!) milk that behaviour for all it's worth!
