Default Champion .. Grand Champion..

I think cats di Malaysia memang susah untuk dapat gelaran champion or grand champion .... Kalo setakat few show setahun... mana nak dapat . Mostly overseas they have cat show every month. Thats why I'm not surprise when their cat yang baru setahun dah champion. They have a lot of judges there. Sometime I just wonder should I enter my cat to a cat show or just get a cat which is already a champion status. Herm..... of coz I had to pay a bomb for that ..... but sometime luck is just at your door step.

Hi Afi,
yes, actually how often we hv cat show or competition. i guessed M'sians r not really cat lovers as per in the West. So, bersabar aje lah... lagipun, we hv cats bukan setakat nak masuk competition kan... mereka perlu dijagai, disayangi dan juga dihargai... Harap2 in the near future, there would be an organisation would be proactive in organizing cat shows or competition etc.

Default 5 Rings CFA Show

Yes! there r not much show in Malaysia bcoz most of our local show r more dependent on sponsor compare to US or Japan. The question is r we prepare 2 pay the amount for entry fee compare 2 the oversea show which is US100.00 - US200.00 per entry for a 8 rings show.

Here is a chance for the serious cat ppl 2 champion or grand their cats, but the fee will b something like RM100.00 - RM150.00 for a 5 rings show which is still much cheaper then the oversea 1. I think this amount charge for a 5 rings show is consider cheap & fair. As 4 the serious cat ppl I don't think this fee shud b a problem & it shud not b the reason 4 not showing our cats. After all let's b frank, it's not everyday u r going 2 hv a 5 rings show.

This 5 rings CFA cat show will b held in July '2005 in Kuala Lumpur.

I wud like 2 use this opportunity 2 gather the number of respone for this show, pls put in ur name for support. I will sign in as the first for it. Hope 2 see u all this July.

Those live in West Malaysia, you should consider yourself lucky because in Sarawak and East Malaysia as a whole, we only have 3 International Cat Show in 5 years. Worst for Sarawakian as we are not allowed to complete in West Malaysia. By the rate it goes, it will be impossible for my cats to achieve Champion or Grand Champion in their lifetime.

well, spoke of the devil.. so there'll be a show this coming July huh. m not really those cat show kinda person n so, for those who r waiting for their cats to be the Grand Champion, start training ur cat now (4 months to go, is it enough time to train??). juz remember that, does not mean a cat was bought with huge amt of money, he/she will win. character counts as well, not just the look...

Hi Pussy, i m sorry to hear that. but i m sure there would lift such regulation (which i wonder why they implement in the 1st place...) in the future. Since ur cat had given u the attention, the amount of love ur cats gives us, i think they already a Grand Champion... in our hearts

How do you train your cat to be less timid?

I was trying to pursue the head of our Sarawak vet twice to allow special consideration for our cats to participate in the West Malaysia cat show. When I first discuss about the matter, he won’t even allow our cats to come back if we were to go to West Malaysia for cat show. Second time we had lengthy discussion, he allows our cats to come back but would require 6 months quarantine upon arrival. I wouldn’t put my cats under unnecessary stress in the quarantine. It is so unfair since cats from West Malaysia can come in for cat show without any problem and cats from other countries can participate in the International Cat Show without been quarantine, yet our cats within the same country require quarantine.

Anyway, DarkGreen, you are right, our cats are Grand Champion within our heart.

hi pussy...

all that i can say is the regulation is very unfair!!!

anyway, your decision not to compete becoz you don't want to stress your cat is very much respected

and yeah, my cats are also all grand champion within mine and my family's hearts

Horatio, I have a very timid Scottish Fold. He is ok with me only and he is afraid of strangers even my other family members. He get panic even leaving his room. How can I train him to be less timid?
