There has been much confusion on how to Champion, calculate Grand Points and E-Points for your cats.

If anyone is interested, I would be willing to hold a Mini Seminar at my home on all of the above on either the 19th or 20th of January around 8pm. Dates can be moved around if necessary.

No charges incurred. Just a small informal gathering to help exhibitors! All you have to bring is pen/pencil, paper and a calculator.

Just in case you are wondering, I am a Licensed CFA Certified Clerk, the 2nd of such in Malaysia, working towards becoming a Master Clerk.

gud effort. but what is so difficult to understand that. i found it pretty straight forward to understand from CFA website and CFA Show Rule. no confusion

Could be because there are others who don't understand and still a little confused...and need the guidance into counting their own cats points.

i found CFA (and other big registry) is very helpful. thru my experience if you have any doubt on anything just email to them and they will reply promptly.

Good for you for being able to decipher the CFA regulations on calculations - I admit that it took me a year to understand the 3 different ways to calculate Grand points myself. What I mean of course is the calculating of:

1. Grand Points collected by becoming Breed Champion (easy)
2. Best - 3rd LH/SH/AB Grand points (not so tough)
3. points collected if you final but are Not Top 3 AB Champions....and which one CFA will use. (most complicated since the points collected here are higher than becoming Best -3rd LH/SH CH)

But since you get that, you will never have to ask anyone to help you confirm your Grand right?

Simple reason for wanting to know how many Grand points a cat has collected: 2 day shows. If you can calculate on the spot how many Grand points your cat has collected on the first day and the cat HAS Granded, you should be able to tell the Master Clerk of the change in title for the 2nd day. This way, you don't waste the 2nd day's rings as a Ch/PR collecting points you don't need and allow other cats to Grand as well.

sometimes it also get me a few round of reading something to get the whole idea... not everyone is born with einstein's IQ! btw abymummy, i also don't know how to calculate the points as i don't have to know!
