I wonder why would Sabahan want the 25% discount on the Import/Export permit and Health cert. for?

Why BCC keep changing the rule, I was told by the president of BCC, himself yesterday it was 20% for FSM members.

In BCC website, it is stated that transport is optional but if you don't pay for the transport, Import/Export permits and health cert. (whether you needed them all or not) you won't get the free accommodation package even if you enter 3 or more cats.

Let take about the BCC's Special Package and transportation.

The following are quoted from the BCC's website today:

Our Special Package includes : (Valid For One Exhibitor with 3 Entries or More)
· Complimentary dinner for one person at the The Palace Hotel on the 22nd August 2008
· Complimentary dinner for one person at the Kentucky Fried Chicken Restaurant at Karamunsing Complex on the 23rd August 2008
· Complimentary dinner for one person at the The Palace Hotel on the 24th August 2008
· Complimentary lunch for one person at the show hall on the 23rd August 2008
· Complimentary lunch for one person at the show hall on the 24th August 2008
· Complimentary 3 nights accommodation in a superior room (Without breakfast)
· Quarantine Exemption for Exhibitor's cats

Terms & Conditions for the special package

Package valid for ONE exhibitor with 3 entries or more

Only ONE household entry can be included.

Valid for Foreign and Malaysian Exhibitor(s) with 3
entries or more.

All the 3 entries must be owned or co-owned by the
same exhibitor

Agent can represent the owner's cats that enter 3
entries or more

Must attached with copies of CFA ownership slip
together with CFA entry forms.

All entry fees must be paid prior to closing date.

Valid for Superior Room at show hotel.

Q: Is it necessary for me to pay the transportation charges Rm 120.00?

A: You can always opt for finding your own transportation from Airport to Show Hotel and vice versa Or from Show Hotel to Show Hall and vice versa
Or Both but bare in mind that you have to inform the show manager IN WRITING BY FAX OR E-MAIL BEFORE ANY PAYMENT MADE TO BORNEO CAT CLUB
ACCOUNT if the transport service is not needed.

Is a great deal right? Wrong, you see there is a hidden terms and regulations unless you pay for the transportation fee, import/export permit fees, health certificate & agent fee you won’t be qualify for the special package. It is like receiving a free gift that you actually pay for.

Now I get it, the 25% discount on the permits and health cert. for Sabahan actually tie in with the special package. You see, it is not enough for Sabahan to enter 3 or more cats to receive the special package; they also needs to pay for the transportation fee, permits and health cert. fee in order to receive the special package lah.

Pussy...i don't see WHY Sabahan need the package...they can always come to the show from their home..even using their own transport! They can even show 3 cats by just paying the show fees!

Ofcourse, being fair to BCC you don;t expect the package by just paying the entry fees?? the package is offered after BCC subsidize the package using the money collected from the permits, health cert etc...u can't expect everything free, they also a non-profit club...they also need to pay the hotel, transport bills etc..

If you don't like the package...just leave it..pay just entry fees...I don't see any good reason why you need to make this an issue??

I got a call from Ben yesterday regards to Sabahan entries. I dont know wether i can quote it here or not, tapi gatal nak tanya. My sister keep pressuring me.

Ben told me, for Sabahan's it will be a flat rate of RM150/cat. But not sure is it for all cats (pedigree/hhp)? And with this rate, we will not be entitle for the package, even with 3 cats (this one is understandable and accepted). and im not sure, did we still need to pay RM75/cat for that permit and health cert? Please explain. TQ.

My friend from KK wanted the package. Ben, the president of BCC, promised her the free accommodation if she enter 3 or more cats but he changed his mind decided not to offer her any free accommodation.

I am not making issue out of it. To me it is deceiving to have hidden terms and conditions. There is no indication in the terms and conditions that it is compulsory to pay for the transportation, permits and health cert. in order to qualify for the special package.
