Adinda, I won’t take Ben’s words for it unless you have written promise from him. My friend in KK asked for discount rate on the entry fee since she couldn’t get the free accommodation by entering 4 cats but Ben won’t allow.

Ben has agreed to let me paying the permits without health cert. since I don’t need the health cert. but he changed his mind decided I should pay for the health cert. in order to receive the special package. I won’t be surprise he changes his mind again and again.

By the way, the permits and health cert. is only apply to cats from other states and countries. Cats from Sabah don’t need them.

Let’s get thing right here. Local cat like Sarawak & Sabah don’t need to be quarantine, unlike foreign cats including West Malaysia are quarantine exempted on condition that all these cats must be station in the Palace Hotel beside the other venue & that is the show hall.

It is only the courtesy of BCC to offer the free package on term & condition & it is design more for the foreign exhibitors (including West Malaysian) then the local who have no other option but to go through the full procedure & pay whatever charges incur. BCC is not obligated to give this offer but choose to do so for their foreign guests who show 3 cats & above for the appreciation of their support. Beside FSM & BCC I don’t see any other cat club in Asia or maybe even in the world that offer such free package. Maybe you have never experience showing your cat further then West Malaysia, let me tell you this it cost me no less then RM500 for documentation alone for a cat to show in HK with no sign of rebate in any manner. If you choose to enjoy the same privilege as the foreign exhibitors you will have to pay the exact amount as what they have to pay but BCC is generous enough to give the 25% discount for the documentation charges if the local choose to enjoy the free accommodation with lunch & dinner package.

Sabahan NO NEED the health cert..unless your cat will be coming from elsewhere.

second, there is no double standard...the price for the non-pedigree cat is mainly to encourage new exhibitors of non-pedigree cats (the beginner) for entering the show. For Pedigree cats, they will be scored for more serious competition..and always been treated as for more experience exhibitors and more professional. It always been a tradition for cat club to put a lower rate for Household pet...even it's not compulsory.

You should be happy about it..not by saying it double standard..unless you kind enough to pay BCC the same rate for your Household Pet

RM 300.00 (after 25% disc)
Transport : RM 120.00
Total : 420.00

Please clarify : RM 780.00 ( No complimentary packages)
RM 1,200.00 (With complimentary packages)

Any more fees? (hidden one if the above still didnt qualify for the packages)

Is a great deal right? Wrong, you see there is a hidden terms and regulations unless you pay for the transportation fee, import/export permit fees, health certificate & agent fee you won’t be qualify for the special package. It is like receiving a free gift that you actually pay for.

Suggestion : Senang cakap from the very beginnings:
Locals (Sabahans and Sarawakians) are not qualified to enjoy special packages as you are exempted from paying permit/health and transport fees. Please arrange to find your own accomodation and transport. Entry fees : 25% discount on HHP, No discount for Pedigree.

En. Arisham. Im sorry for being not so clever. Why i need to pay for only 3 cats and not 4? I guess, because you saw that im paying too much in order to enjoy that special packages? Can you guarantee that all 4 of my sister's cats can enter, and together with special packages, when she's paying fees (health n permit) for only 3 cats? RM 1,350.00? I need to explain this to my sister.

The total are RM 662.82...you (in your case) just pay RM 570.00...so, BCC still need to subsidize RM 92.82

It's simple...to qualify for the package, you need to pay for the documentations (3 cats minimum)..in your case, I assume that your cats are from Sabah (if your cats are from elsewhere, you need all 4 docs)..so, you ACTUALLY no need the documentations..but since you want the package, so you just need to pay only for 3 docs (which actually not necessary for you or Sabahan to enter the show)..to qualify for the package...
