Default HHP cats being disqualified by a contestant who brought 10 hhp competing against you

The scenarios :-

1. No vet, so the show manager appointed one of the participant (who brought 10 hhp competing against you), is it proper?
2. I brought 6 HHP, 3 being disqualified (unfortunately 3 of my best HHP) suspected of fleas and lices. What baffling me, all 6 sharing the same cages, same roofs, same transport.. but 3 are clear (the least chances HHP cats). I wonder...
3. And after all cats being benched, I've noticed one of the said contestant cat being brought in and straightaway to the benching area... without anybody checking.. (ooohh she's the "vet")
4. Being a new FSM member, and have supported your show in Kulai, but didnt really know anybody (wonder if i could befriend the said constestant - will my cats being allowed to enter)
5. The show manager explained to me that it's the responsibility of each exhibitor to makesure competing cats are free from the above - but is it the show manager's responsibility to provide vet on duty, and i'll accept whatever the vet said even to the extend disqualifying all my cats.
6. I wonder, should any of the constestant, sue the organiser because of their cats got disease right after shows, and no vets around to check (and no one bother to check the vaccination card)...

So, i hope for the future event :-

1. If there's no vet around, all cats being allowed to enter (responsibility of each exhibitor to makesure all their cats are in proper condition - trust them)- and the exhibitors take risk too here.
2. If there's no vet around, and organiser dont trust all the exhibitors - cancel the show - this is to avoid the organiser being sued if any complications arise after the show should you go ahead without the vet.
3. Stop appointing participants to be a vet!

Thanks.

Dear Abgraldo,

First of all, Thank you for supporting FSM shows.

As the show manager, I have the rights appoint anybody that capable enough to do a vetting-in, and i'm sure all the forumers that know Alicia would be agree with me there is no one better from her in handling strays. Futhermore she is one of committee members.

2. I brought 6 HHP, 3 being disqualified (unfortunately 3 of my best HHP) suspected of fleas and lices. What baffling me, all 6 sharing the same cages, same roofs, same transport.. but 3 are clear (the least chances HHP cats). I wonder...

3 out of 6 of your cats have visible of lices. Therefore according to the show rules, the veterianian (or anybody that appointed by me) can disqualified your cats. Me, myself as Show Manager has checked your cats and DISQUALIFIED it.

3. And after all cats being benched, I've noticed one of the said contestant cat being brought in and straightaway to the benching area... without anybody checking.. (ooohh she's the "vet")

she do the checking, maybe u don't see??. me myself has double check on it. I even can DISQUALIFIED any cats that allowed by the vet should they prove to have Fleas, Lices and etc.

4. Being a new FSM member, and have supported your show in Kulai, but didnt really know anybody (wonder if i could befriend the said constestant - will my cats being allowed to enter)

Like I said earlier, as Show manager I have the rights to DISQUALIFIED your cats when its proven to have lices, fleas etc. hence you a member, commitee or whatever even you bring 100 cats to support our show!

5. The show manager explained to me that it's the responsibility of each exhibitor to makesure competing cats are free from the above - but is it the show manager's responsibility to provide vet on duty, and i'll accept whatever the vet said even to the extend disqualifying all my cats.

You're wrong. I can appoint anybody of my show commitee to handle the vetting-in. I show no HHP therefore I'm not your competitor BUT I still DISQUALIFIED your cats.

6. I wonder, should any of the constestant, sue the organiser because of their cats got disease right after shows, and no vets around to check (and no one bother to check the vaccination card)...

Fleas, Lices got nothing to do with vaccination card, and I need no vets to prove that your cats have fleas or lices.

I even can take action against you for taking back the cats that I have DISQUALIFIED and put into quarantine room to the show hall. Which I will table down in the post-mortem meeting. Should I let you in, YES the exhibitors can file a complaint against the show committee.

1. I can do a non-vetting in show, if the show committee agree. Should there any complaint to any of the cats that having fleas etc, I have the rights to removed the cats from show hall.
2. Read (1)
3. Like I said, i can excercise my rights as Show Manager.

My advice, pls. logon to CFA website and grab yourself a copy of Show Rules, and next time pls. be more responsible to your cats by make sure they have no fleas, lice etc. Be a responsible exhibitor. Thank You

Only one of my cat you checked - the other 2 (hmm im tired after the 1st try)

Im competing in HHP and not chasing any points. Can i withdraw, after I found out there's no vet around. Will i be refunded?

You not sure??. I have show you the lices! if don't wanna make a big fuss, why bother posting this thread??

Like I said earlier. The vet (or anybody appointed by the Show Manager) can DISQUALIFIED you cats should there any Fleas and Lices visible. In the case, I agree with her.

Whatever class you're competing, The club shouldn't refund your entry(s) should the fault is in your side. very Sorry

As a person, I understand your feelings as new exhibitor, however, you also must know the correct way to show and the rules. Please be more careful next time.

We always welcome you in the next show. HHP is about cleaness, healthy and temperament...there is no point in winning if you cannot take care your cats or your cats not healthy.

For your info, my so called disqualified cats never being disqualified by qualified vets in the 5 shows organised by MCC.

However, thanks for your good and smart explanations. And, i'll surely be more careful for the next shows with the qualified vet around.

Chow!
