Ya!!! cat sometime do hv tht frightening look in their eyes especially when they give tht staring look in their eyes like seeing thing tht is not there. But sometime if u look clearly u will be able to c what they r actually staring at, it cud simply be just a tiny insect tht we r no able to notice earlier. There's quite a number of time when some of my cats just give tht frightful look over my shoulder looking out at the glass door & when u turn to c what it is, there is nothing there, I guess it might be due to them been able to pick up sound tht we r not able to hear which cud actually be the cause of their sudden reaction to some happening outside the door.
Long ago when I was young I read about an article of some scientist researching on the existence of astro body on a man who can easily command it to come out. They will hving his cat in a room somethere a 1000 miles away & hv him wire up to monitor any happening to his body & almost immediately when they notice something happening to him & also at the same time his cat was reacting to something in tht room. It's not mend to frighten anyone but to say there is a great possibility tht our feline friend can c thing tht we don't.

0h man, if my cats do this I'd be scared out of my mind. but the funny thing is, after he saw whatever he saw, he wanted to get out of the room fast. that made me even frightened. now i have 2 more cats sleeping in my room. if all 3 of them look freaked out, maybe then i'll get out of the room too

Yasmine,

Have you ever encountered….

You were sleeping in the dark when you feel something touching your nose gently. When you opened your eyes, you see nothing except a pairs of shiny glared eyes staring at you. Who would you do?

I‘d jump and throw anything I have in my hands to “that” .. later on to know that the eyes belong to my baby who trying to “cuddle” my head as usual.

Replying from the first post, I also realized it was an MC. I was like "Hey, did you realize that Mrs. Norris was a-" "Maine Coon?" My hubby interrupted. And I was like, Oh my God yes! You realized it too. I was talking about MC's all the time to my hubby quite recently. I have a soft spot in big cats. We're definitely going to adopt an MC one day.

I think the movie was good but not as much as I wanted. They did a good job in editing it. Unlike the second movie which was horrible! I read in IMDB that Daniel Radcliffe was the 3rd richest teenager in Britain just behind Prince Harry and Kelly Clarkson. I can't wait for the final book to come out.

I agree that The Grudge was creepy. I watched the Japanese version Ju-On. The Ring Japanese version was also scary. It's a different kind of scary. It's like slowly getting into you and you can't avoid it. Man I hate that.

Exorcist was the all time THE most scary film(s) I've ever watched. Maybe because I watched it by accident when I was 8yrs old. I blame it on "Cable TV" at that time and unsupervised*LOL*. Darn I was traumatized by it and avoided watching any horror movies until I was out of uni. Yeah, call me chicken but I don't care.

The Ring was really scary. For days I covered the TV when I slept (takut nanti ada benda keluar. Hee hee)

But I tell you... try The Shutter. It's Thai and it's one of the scariest ones I've seen. I was screaming my lungs off in the cinema... buat malu je.

And a few times I've seen both Chewie and Blurry stare at something on the ceiling... with their eyes really really wide. And then they run off... But I'll take Coony's explanation anytime... this is how scaredy cats soothe themselves

Exactly what my friend had told me. Her cat had the same expression staring at a butterfly and staring into midst air. But just imagine that ghosts are friendly like in Harry Potter books/films. Excluding Bloody Baron and Peeves.

Thai horror films are also good. I'll try and find The Shutter.

Oh, I almost forgot. I went to a Pameran Hantu at the Museum Negara a couple years ago and came back couldn't sleep and had to minta the doctor sleeping pills. Heh . I can't believe I got scared. Well, they actually have a jar of myst that claimed to be a pontianak inside ke it was something else, lupe lak. Sape tak takut!!!!

ah yes finally watched it today! had exams previously.. deprived of hp for that time.. i think in previous hp movies we cant really tell mrs norris's breed. now finally can with the closeups. i read somewhere that crookshanks, hermione's red persian had to be "spruced" up by her breeder. to make her look really grumpy the owner saved all her hairballs and fur combings and pasted them on crookshanks eyebrows and body to make her look more "fierce" lol.. so cute..
