Exclamation Long Holiday Reminder!

Other than making sure that you lock your house/gates and check your car conditions for long journey travel, do not forget:-

For those who can’t take their cats to hometown or holiday get-away

1) Please send your cat(s) for boarding in the proper boarding place. Make sure the boarding place has people to care such as cleaning the litter boxes, feeding foods, medical care etc. Do not find easy solution like dumping to cheap but unsafe places. Survey the good place before sending your cats.

OR

2) Please send your cat(s) for boarding to families or friends house. Make sure they are animal lovers and have special places to accommodate your cats. Do not let them cage your cats like “reban ayam”. Make sure they can clean the litter boxes, give food and care for your cat’s health.

Do not:

1) Send your cat(s) to animal shelters hoping that the cat will still be there after the holiday

2) Put your cat(s) outside the house until you come back from the holiday with silly thinking “Oh… my cats can find their own food, after all cats are predators!”

3) Dump your cat(s) in the restaurants, schools, mosque etc. Remember, what goes around, comes around.

4) Send your cat(s) to the most economical boarding places that are dirty and look not safe.

Thanks and Happy Holiday.

About the best boarding place is very subjective. Some people may not prefer our choices but as long as the place is good, that is what matters.
My recommendations would be:

1) Dr Hasnul Clinic (you can ask for big cages)
2) Alicia’s pet shop (Big glass room – not using cages)

How about others?

Those days my parents use to pass our home keys to the neighbours before they left for 2-3days holiday. If I remember clearly, this was a popular practise elsewhere too. Tapi skarng masing masing tak kenal neighbours. How nice if neighbours can help each other. I too don't know my next door apartment neighbour although I stayed for 7 years and yet the doors are side by side. Good grief! Maybe friends are the best to help us take care of our pets (if the pets are left at home). Thats what my Indian friend do for his Malay colleagues / friends. Help them tak care of their cats free. What are friends for?

Emmm... If me.. I will request help from friends..(good freinds la)
I think.. home is the best place for a cat.

Fiuhhhh!!! Thank God i have nanny for my 2 kids. As last week, i balik kg for 4 days due to Sat, Sun & Nuzur Quran, she ask my permission if she can take Tommy home with her. I say ok but how about Jojie (stray kitten i picked last month), she said she gonna come once a day to change litter tray, water n boil some tuna for Jojie. Its like trade for giving Tommy to her for 4 days. Actually she also a cat lover but she said not ready for full comitment. Hehehehe.......

Thumbs up someone to catsit?

Good day everyone,
I would suggest asking a close and trusted friend to catsit your cats while you are away for long holidays. Less stress for the cats.
