Question Euthanize...

Never tot about this word... Until recently... many ppl left the campus, thus, many strays didn't able to find their food... and thus, many of them in my backyard are sick and dying. Infections and disease spreading around even my own pet Amysh's 4 babies had died one, and another 2 seriously sick.

Today morning, I brought all the babies to jph. The babies are infected... So I show the vet this photo of a stray at my backyard... her name I call her Kurabi

The vet talk about euthanize it. Since its a stray and have been over a month sick, spreading infections and disease... I nvr been feeling so hard... even i have seen many strays died naturally. But I never euthanize one.

I wish to know all other cat lovers here... anyone have experience of euthanize your own pet? In what case that I should do this? How right is it to do this?

oh,dear asvoria. I guess the only way is to let her die naturally. If u want to catch her,u might have to prepare full set of equipment such as hand glove and whatnot.

June, don't say this ... don't tutup mata (this cannot, cannot, cannot, dear!) U cannot let her suffer such a very sloooooooow painful death. Trap her using food and a cat carrier! I have recently trapped a pregnant stray young girl full bleeding ulcerations (the dreaded Sporotrichosis) and put her to sleep. Of course I felt awful and the pain in my heart for her suffering was and still hurt like someone punched real hard but I had to do the right thind and end her suffering. Her ears, nose, right eye, right leg, back and tail were all covered with very big raw bleeding sores, wheezing (had spread to her lungs) ... all eaten away and gone already, poor girl!

bukan tutup mata Furkid.tp dari ceritanya asvoria chances to survive very slim. What I meant by let her die naturally means jgn inject tidur. that is why I asked asvoria to catch her and sent to vet.tp dia kata kucing tu mencakar dan takut contagious disease dia.tak sanggupnya tgk dia mati mcm tu je.

Sebab takut mencakar tu la saya cadangkan trap dengan cat carrier dan makanan. Mesti inject tidur to end her misery, jangan tunggu mati naturally bcos it will infect more other cats besides suffering while waiting for death to come, which is not quick. It is more humane to end her suffering, Sis. Trap dlm carrier dan tutup pintu, pastu cepat-cepat lock dan cover dgn kain. Ikat carrier door dan hantar vet, let the professionals do the rest. Never try to catch a sick or frightened cat with yr hands, even tho pakai sarung tangan! Don't!
