Hi all,
I am planning to get a cat cage for my cat, not sure what sort I should be getting... the princess is currently expecting, so I think it should be a "big" cage... I have seen this 3 layer cage, selling at RM280 in pet shop, is it a good buy? Would appreciate any advice, as I do not want to get a redundant cage! Photos will be appreciated too, so that I would have an idea on how or where to place a cat cage.... Thanks all! P:S: Sorry, I am a total "newbie" at cat cage, or how to manage a cat in a cage...... |

i think, bigger cage better. so u do not need to worry about buying another one when you need another cage.
the 3 tiers cage, kalau di ambil semua tiers and stair tu, boleh di jadi pembahagi tengah2, so you have 2 cage, ground floor and first floor (kalau you tak mahu tiga tingkat with stairs lah. because u need to consider when the kitten grew up nanti, about 2 months above they are very naughty. so bigger cage is good, tak pakai - boleh simpan, who knows one day u adopt new cat, boleh simpan dalam tu untuk sesi suai kenal (oh well kucing kan akan gaduh when first meeting)...one time investment for a long period of usage, apa salah nya ![]() Last edited by elfreakz : 04-06-2008 at 12:42 AM. |

I encourage you to try to get the full adult size 3-tier cage which is bigger. Although it costs just a little more, it is well worth the investment. You can also partition it and set it up differently as the occasion arises when you have different needs for your cats like after a spay/neuter operation or when you have a new cat and those guys belum really kamceng. It is really quite versatile (see pic below). Good luck! ![]() Last edited by FurKids : 04-06-2008 at 10:03 AM. |

Thanks lancola, elfreakz and Furkids for the valuable advice...
Yup - the RM 280 cage is like the picture posted by lancola... is it the market price? Are you currently using it? Is it good? As for the cage posted by Furkids, can you pls advice whereabout can I get it and roughly, the cost? It does look sturdy compared to the cage I saw at a petshop.... Other than the cage, I need the basic stuff like, litter box, food, water to be placed inside the cage? Anything else?..... Do I need to do lightings? Normally where should I keep the cage, in or outside? Sorry ya, so many silly questions! I have never caged a cat before, except in a pet carrier to a vet ..... |

yup agreed. should you need to use a cage, the bigger the better. however for that kind of 3 tier size...i would suggest 2 adults is enough..one if you can afford...this will make sure they have enough space to move and exercise.
usually the lower ground will be use to put litter box and the upper for food and drinks. do not put litter box and food nearby. the cheapest i ever seen is RM250. however, with the price of steel goes up, i think its more expensive now. p/s manusia yang bersifat terbuka akan menerima alasan orang lain. manusia yang mempunyai agenda sendiri akan mempertikaikan semua alasan tanpa berfikir. |
