Default why are cat trees expensive?

any tip on where to get an affordable cat tree if not cheap ones?
cat furnitures looks fun.. if only i could afford it...

does anybody know how to make any homemade/inexpensive cat toys? my girls will tear up their newly bought toys within days and its just not cost effective for me to buy them new ones all the time

well this is my humble suggestion qitcat...
be creative, see petshop only want to earn profit thats why they sell small toy mouse for 6 ringgit which i am ganna say ridiculous. Therefore do your own for example bed...u can do your own unless u dont know how to sew.hehehe.
cat tunnel, use box..and combined together..small mouse .?make it with papers and turn it into small ball.they will love it.about cat tree?i am thinking of doing it on my own.u see its not so hard as we learn how to do the capentry job at school long long time ago rite?

be wise..dont spend hundreds of dollars for nothing as u can make it by your own...

but as usual..its your choice rite?

i think u should observe your cat behaviour first.for example..my gruls like to play with the object moving,so i made them small ball tied up with a rope or thread.. .they like to play football too.hehehe.so i made alot of small balls for them to kick.its fun u know.

p/s moral of the story be creative..with our mind anything is possible...

actually the price is for the "ideas" not really for the materials... coz if based on the materials, it shouldnt be that pricey coz they normally use fiber board not solid wood...

why not make ur own cat tree... it's not necessarily to start from "A"... look around... find something that useful... u may begin with unwanted wooden chair, table, cupboard or even tree trunk... with some modifications then... wallaaa... there u go... ur own cat tree...

I have many carton boxes from home deliveries and yeah, they like to play in those but I stoped giving them carton boxes cause generally carton boxes are dirty and I do not know where the boxes came from and how many places it has been handled before. I just do not want my kitties to have any skin problems.
