I did once and my kitty really hates that sound. My point of view, let's vote for a hairdrier wid a silencer (kalau ada)...

All my cats hate it and scare it.. Gary will scold, Button will run/hide, Midnight will punch and fight with the hair dryer..

Since last month we use the easiest and best solution. We got them a good towel for each. after rub and absorb the water, push them out and dry under the sun. Button fur look nicer.

Default Why not try this!

I got few cats that hates and scare of hairdryer.

So what I do is after the bath, I use a good towel to absorb the excess water.

Then I cage them in the show cage.

Instead of using hairdryer, I use vacuum blower (a clean one) to blow dry the cat. As it is more powerful compared to normal hairdryer.

At start, usually I will keep some distance between the blower and the cage. Start to switch on the blower at a lower speed and will gradually get closer to the cage with the blower after the cat getting ease/accustom with the sound. At the same time gradually increase the speed.

All these steps help to reduce the stress on the cats.

Never blow directly to the cat all the sudden as this usually will scare them off.

You could also camouflage the blower under a towel.

To blow the lower part, lift up the cage and blow from the bottom.

Ok guys, hope you succeed with drying things.

Hello, I hair dry my kuchings after mandi. I usually let my dryer run for awhile allowing my sayangs to get used to the sound 1st. After that, I always start at the base of their tail and work my way up. My adik always help to hold my cats, while i dry them. She not only holds them but uses a comb against the fur. This way allows the fur to dry rapidly and makes the cat look more fluffy be it a DSH atau pedigree.

its never too late to introduce them to the 'monster' hairdrier.. it just freaks them out when ever i turn on the hairdrier..

the trick is to rap your cat with a towel so that they cant run or scratch u!

talking about hair drier... samson is the most scared about it.. he will hit the hair drier when i drier him...so at start i hair drier him sure i kena paw from samson two hand full with luka.so i usually use cage to drier him when the coat 70% dry i will open cage and comb his coat and masuk ke cage again drier untill kering then get out complete grooming then i hug and hidup kewangi him. if michelin and huey and other cat very good with hair drier can put on lap and sambil groom and drier them not problem at all.
