Default Scootish fold vs burmillia coat

Hi,
I am new to this forum, and from Australia. I havn't decide on the cat to buy yet but very interested in the scottish fold and burmilla(burmese x chinchila).
I have search the net but they don't tell you the special coat care of the breed. But that scottish are short coat and easy to maintain. I was wondering whether any owner of the scottish fold have any problem with the breed moulting alot with the hot weather in malaysia?
Below are the pict of the 2 actually cat I can choose from. one is a silver spotted scottish fol and the other is a burmilla. Any comment of the grooming of the scottish fold.

The first photo doesn't look like Burmilla. Burmilla should have short coat.

I am a Scottish Fold breeder in Malaysia. I don't have problem with my Scottish Fold coat. I brush their coat weekly to maintain and keep them healthy. When they shed I will brush them everyday to get rid of the loose hairs.

Default scottish fold coat

Hi,
Great to get your reply again. Nice to get some more breeders comment from oversea than locally. They tend to hide some of the fact on the breed or not experience enough. This breeder said she was closing down her cattery because of some reason and this boy was going to be her stud but now have to get ride. Do you see any good thing in this kitten to be stud although she will desex before I decide to take her? To be a stud quality cat is it a must be show quality? Is that correct?
Do you have your cats inside the house or in a cattery outside. Do you find combing them more frequently will leave less hair around the house? Will bathing them make it better or worst? I don't mind combing them every day but just hate to have handful of fur to put in the bin each time I cuddle my cat.

Normally, people will select kitten of the best quality or show quality for their stub. I think he is very cute but his ears are not very tight. Anyway, I am not an expert, may be Leslie could give some comment on it.
My cats are kept indoor and without air-conditioning. Combing does help to remove loosen hairs and prevent the hairs from dropping all over the place. You can bath them but don’t over do it. You need to comb them after bath too. Medicated shampoo does help in treating certain skin condition like ringworm infection. I never has handful of fur even when my cats shed. Their coat still looks very dense even when they shed. This boy’s coat looks thin and not dense.

Agree, Pussy - the 'Burmilla' tail looks semi LH (Burmilla LH) and the barring is not desirable, but I guess we're talking pet?
