Default powder for cats...

hi all...

yesterday i went to a petshop and on 1 shelf i found some talcum powders for cats..so now i'm wondering if i really can use the powder on my miaw..so he'll smell fresh always..anybody has experiences with these talcum powders?is it safe for cats to use it?well the shop owner said it's safe to use..but i still want other opinions from u all..tq...

for me, i used baby talc (J&J) on my Speed's fur b4 showing him in cat show which i wud believed many had done the same to make the fur drier n smells fresh as well. but juz remember not to put too much. u do not want to over-powder ur cat . apply talc on ur palm n gently rub n massage on ur cat's fur. shud the bad odour still there, it means it's bathing time fr ur cat.

AND also double check and triple read the label and make sure it is not powder for cat litter

oh yeah that one... that is a BIG difference between that two although i dun trust cat litter powder. they only mask the bad odour n do nothing else. but it is indeed a good product for those lazy ppl to clean their cat's litter box

thanx guys...but usually cats lick their coat..if i use the powder on them,and afterwards they'll lick their coat..will this bring any harm to cat's health?just wondering..tq

liana,

For cat powder, you put the powder on, and then you brush or comb most of it out! The cats will lick a little bit only. Do not over powder.

I've used both human powder and cat powder. So far, my cats are okay.
