It has been two times that my maya stool stuck in her back fur. I can't pull nor take it out naturally. I have to cut a bit of her hair... Any comments or tips?
p/s: It was not that bad since they were hard stools...

if ur nvr showing maya u can trim the hair short to make things easier for both of you. if u are try tying up the fur with those little rubber bands used to tie doggy fur.. maltese-yorkie-ish style.

It is very common for it to happen to longhair cats. What I do, on weekdays, I will check their backsides every time I come back from work and on weekends, I will check every time I heard them using the litter box.

If I found their stool hanging or smeared their backside or any part on the hair, I will take them to the wash room and wash it with cat shampoo. By doing that everyday, my cats learn to make sure their backsides are always clean every time they have done their business.

They have phobia every time I lift-up their tails, they knew the “punishment” – their backside will be washed with cold water + shampoo. Every time their backsides are dirty, they will run when they saw me coming, from there I know that their backsides are dirty.

Those who ran during the daily inspection would be the one that I will chase until I got them.

Cats have good memories, believe me in that. When you do that every day, you will notice that they will try to keep their hairs clean. Or… in their mind “COLDDDD WATERRRRR MEOOOWWW”.

PS- You do not need to think of trimming their backside hair if they start to learn to do their business in a “clean” manner. But if they keep dirtying their backside, you should wash them everyday to avoid hard stool hanging on the backside's hair or stain on your floor when they sit.

Cats clean their body by licking, it is not healthy if they lick their stool to clean it up, you should wash it instead of leaving it for couple of days.

I tried to cut the behind fur and it doesn't look nice. Mcm ada something wrong je . So once in a while when I see something dangling, I'll just snip off the part where got poopoo. Sometimes yg lawak dia, dia berlari2 then tetiba ada poopoo jatuh. Good thing it's hard stool.

So whenever I monitor Ina doing her biznes, she'll get so uncomfy and run as fast as possible cause dia tak suka I check her behind after that. When she was little lagi teruk, she'll drag her butt down the floor and heret tahi tu. Thank goodness she's better now.

I dapat rasa asal when she's doing her biznes and kene kacau, mesti ada stool dangling. It's like she cannot concentrate and poop properly.

So conclusion dia for me, I'll just cut when I see something's dangling. It looks better that way cause tak nampak perubahan pon. The fur is long.

The trimmer works for cats. And if you terrer you can trim all the fur. Mcm Karl punya kucing Izzi, tu semua kene trim tu but you also can send it to kedai salun kucing for a prettier result.

I tried the human punya trimmer, cannot work la. My bulu kucing is very thick and there weren't any corrent measurement yg I nak. So in the end, terbiar mcm tu. Vet pon tanya, what happened to this semi botak patch? But if nak potong kat belakang tu I think it will work.

Also, keje ni tak boleh 1 org buat. Kene ada org tolong. My cat also the same. Gerak sana sini. Takut gak tersalah potong.
