Injections? Haven't tried this one before. How does it work?

My cats run the moment they hear me shaking the bottle and at the sight of tissues and cotton.

Talking jap

oh yes, u can ask the vets to do it. but u need to jap yr cats only if it is seriously infected by mites n ticks, n after tht, the cats need to repeat the treatment again but not with jap, but with frontline drops, every 2 weeks, 4 2 times more. n 4 kitten, the vet wil put frontline (4 my case) in their ears but not their shoulder neck cos they r 2 young to v so much frontline drops. n u need to repeat it evry 2 weeks 4 three times to get rid of all the mites n ticks. so now all my cats n kitten free fr mites n ticks. n i clean their ears with olive oil n it is realy good n fast to clean.

well, owner shud check their cats ear regularly say once a week especially to those who let their cats go in n out fr the hse. early detection of ear mites (n ticks) r easily to take care, less hassle n less expensive.

Injections ??? I normally put otomax (which is mixed with other med) ... just put one drop for every two days for a week....got also other med that only need a drop to kill those earmites but expensive... otomax is more economical if you have so many cats lah.

Hi Wooz,
Don't how it works....but the vet gave it 2 jabs over a period of 7~10 days. It really clears up the mites. But if you hv many cats, it'll be expensive unless u can nego with the vet for special price.

If I'm not wrong, you don't apply frontline for ear mites. Frontline spot-on is for ticks, fleas and lice....parasites which reside on the skin and fur. Frontline works by being absorbed into the skin oil glands. The oil glands then spread it to the fur throughout the whole body.

Hi Countess,
Don't know abt the spray type...I'm using the spot-on. But I read from the instructions, and it says only lice, ticks and fleas. Maybe the spray also works for mites?

Not only home check, periodical vet checked as well. I posted a case of aural hematoma before in the Health n Diseases section. Do include ear mite drops as well when you clean your cat's ears especially if your cats are exposed to the outside.

Ginger is an indoor cat, even with his ears cleaned once a week (without the ear mite drops), he still had it. Only assumptions can be made as to how he got ear mites in his ears. For those of us who are not at home for long hours, you'll never know if your cat has been shaking his head or scratching his ears excessively. So, put some drops whenever you clean to avoid problems. Then don't forget your routine vet visits as well.

Eh, this one sounds like the same thing I got. 2 in 1 solution one for ear mites and the other to loosen the wax. I think we're seeing the same vet man.
