I think if you haven't isolated her from your other cats at home, you better do so. Seen the vet already or not? My understanding of berkurap for a cat or dog sounds contagious and requires a vet diagnosis.

What could it be? Got pictures or not?

If I'm not wrong, you don't apply frontline for ear mites. Frontline spot-on is for ticks, fleas and lice....parasites which reside on the skin and fur. Frontline works by being absorbed into the skin oil glands. The oil glands then spread it to the fur throughout the whole body.

I think the injection solution uses Ivermec or something sounding like that. I read it somewhere on the net when I was looking for information at the time Ginger had a ear condition. Supposedly, requires careful administration on small animals and has side effects for certain animals. Must go re-check that again.

I thought the Frontline stuff we have here is for fleas and ticks. Don't recall seeing any for ear mites. Must be a new product I guess but still how do you spray inside the cat's ears? I think the first spray would already get the cat so irritated with it's owner.

So, put some drops whenever you clean to avoid problems. Then don't forget your routine vet visits as well.

Hi Wooz,
well, since the cat's ears r L-shaped, perhaps there were still some mites at the end canal which is unreachable using cotton bud. I think u shud administer the ear drops for a couple of days n massage his back of his ears.
