Some questions first Grace:

1. How old is the cat?
2. Male or Female
3. LH or SH
4. Entire or Neutered
5. Any signs of sickness (general - like: sneezing, distended belly, flea/fungus/ear mites etc)
6. Has the cat changed diet recently

Before you ask why so many questions, the answer is simple:

1. As a kitten grows into a cat, they usually lose their kitten coat - that means the cat will go into full moult before growing the adult coat - I'm experiencing this right now with one of my new additions!
2. Different hormonal cycles
3. Coat loss is more obvious in LH then SH
4. Entire cats have hormonal cycles, neutered don't.
5. It speaks for itself - if your cat is sick for any reason, they will lose fur
6. A drastic change in diet can cause fur loss

Then again, the cat may just be shedding because it wants to - it's a cycle - some cats go through it once a year, some twice, some (like my foundation Abys) 3 times a year...

If your friend is really worried, please ask her to take the cat to the vet for a comple check-up!

erm.....i brought tis frm my vet......rm30.....my vet told me tis can improve my cats appetite since she eat really little......n it got a strong caremel smell so my cats lov 2 eat it.....

bear in mind that vitamins sometimes doesn't resolved your shedding problem...you need to know why your cat shedding first!.

If your cat shedding because of fungus/sick...a visit to the vet would be adviseable..
If your cat shedding because of hormon cycles/season...then u may want to try brewer yeast to enhanced the fur growth...RC Persians also can be added..

Hi Arisham, Need some info please,what do u mean shedding because of hormon cycles/season..my cat did shed one time and it recovered already..
The shedding was a circuler patch at the stomach area..I gave brewer yeast tablets and it recovered,but didint know the reason for shedding in the first place..Just to add she was on heat at that time.

hormon cyles/season means..sometimes male cat shedding when calling for mate or if your cat is imported cat and experience shedding in summer...they will continue here...
