saya mandikan anak2 saya once a week je..tu pun selalu on weekend lah br boleh belek diorg lama2 skit. time mandi je saya buihkan shampoo dalam baldi bg banyak2 then br lah bawa budak2 tu mandi..1st abg dulu lah (baby cico) sebab dia ni plg takut nak mandi..dah ajar mandi since 2 months pun still takut..kalau saya bawa dia masuk dalam toliet then kunci pintu dia dah start bising sbb dia tau dia kena mandi..mandi kan diorg ni saya guna getah paip je..gosok2 badan diorg dengan buih2 shampoo, buat massage skit then baru saya siram dengan air. time tu lah adegan police n entry start..berpeluh juga nak bagi diorg mandi ni...dgn saya2 pun basah sebab diorg suka panjat badan saya bila time mandi. lps mandi je saya keringkan dengan soft towel..tapi terfikir juga kdg2 nak guna hairdryer..maybe one day saya guna.

Anyway, my experience bathing my two babies is a horrible one. Maybe because they are just 4 1/2 mths now, still not accustom to weekly showers.

Now, I bathe them once in a week. Preferably on Saturday or Sunday. Im making this as routine because they start to smell after the 6th day due to their active playing around our apartment and at the balcony.

First, yeah SIMISTRI, Im like you lah....Boiled the water 1st and then I poured into my big bucket and mix it with normal temperature water. I also use GAYUNG to bathe them. For now Im still using MACHIKO Flea Shampoo to treat their fleas and lice problem. Lice is now gone but just taking precaution step to bathe them one more time with Machiko. Cheap but it works, man!
Im also using a herbal shampoo with chamomile/lavender flavour (shampoo + conditioner - 2 in 1 lah shampoo ni) which we bought in Penang. But not mixing them. I will use this shampoo again after Im satisfied with the fleas problem 1st.

I will start by just splashing the warm water on the bosy 1st just to test their energy level. My Duster and Misty are very drama queen inside the bathroom, so I bathe them one by one. After splashing the water using my hand, I will then pour the warm water using the GAYUNG (Simistri, I will now going to practise the tip...from head to tail - to avoid penyakit!) hehhehehhe...

And then, I will lather the shampoo on their upper body and slowly massage and add more water to make it more foamy and rich. And then massage and talk to them to behave because at this point they already showing their acts i.e: running around, meowing loudly and starts to scratch the door and even my clothe. Duster just pawed my kaftan yesterday morning. And then, I will use the soft plastic comb (shower accessory for cat/dog) to scrub their hair and tail. And then i will leave them for about 5-10 minutes before I rinse them in the small bucket. While doing this, I will sing to them the SWIMMING POOL song which I created for them....wakakkakakkaka....

After I rinsed off all the shampoo, I will then wrap the kitty with small towel 1st and then transfer to a bigger towel(the normal towel that we always use for shower). I will put them to a comfort zone. Petting their head and wrap them nicely in the big towel so that they cannot run. I will rest them on my lap and will start doing their ears. We bought this EAR DROP LOTION to remove their ear wax from the clinic. After I put a few drops, I will then massage the ear 1st so that she will relax. After that I start to clear/clean the ear with cotton bud and facial soft cotton. Both of them like their ears being clean. {I tengok diaorg macam stim ajer!!! } hehhehhehe...

After ear cleaning, its time to blow dry them. I use a hair dryer because their hair is long and it will take hours if they want to dry their hair naturally under the sun. After that, I will use that special comb and combing them and also check whether they have any hair clumps or not.

After reading all your posting, Im now considering to buy any lotions or spray that can make the coat healthier and glossier....hehhehehhe

First of all sy akan clean telinga dulu baru ambil towel basah dan lap mata dan kepala. Biar mereka tenang dulu, after that ambil gayung baru basahkan badan. Letak syampu (sy gunakan syampu Fido... wangi betul) then sabunkan badan dan urut urut badan mereka ngan syampu tu... (macam cuci kepala kat saloon ) then baru siram ngan air sampai la sabun tu hilang. Then ambil towel and dry them betul betul. Kalo ada matahari saya akan jemur sekejap and bila dah semi dry baru ambil hair dryer and blow dry mereka... memang ambil masa yang panjang la... Cara hairdryer letak kuching di tengah2 paha dan kepitkan (tak la kuat sangat) sebelah tangan pegang hairdryer and sebelah usap usap bulu kuching Bila dah kering letak perfume kuching Wangi tau...

ooo kalau saya buat mcm ni kat kucing2 saya, dah tentu kena cakar kat peha..tambah yg sekor tu mmg penakut..bunyi hairdryer jer dah cabut..confirm tak sempat nak kepit kat celah peha

Memang pun kena cakar tapi demi kuching sabar je ......

sean dan qaseh macam tak suka air sngt...
lambat nak relax masa mandi dan cepat jumpy bila siram badan dgn air 1st time.

so i do short cut.
1st boil water in kettle. masuk baldi... campur air paip till about sejuk skit dari suam kuku.

then... i have this squeeze bottle, macam botol plastic isi sos cili or mayo yg brader2 jual burger pakai tuu....

in the bottle i mix 50% shampoo + 50% warm water.
then... without wetting them first
note : i never splash water or siram2 them first.
i just pour the mixture slowly on to their body... and massage until foamy.
so both qaseh and sean are not shocked by the water....
they just relax while i massage their body and squirt the mixture slowly.
squirt... massage... squirt.. massage...

after whole body covered by the foam... and scrubbed and cleaned...
only then i will rinse them using gayung rm2 filled with the suam2 water from my rm10 baldi.
slowly... from neck to end of tail.
avoiding head and face.
lastly i just wipe their faces with a small towel soaked with the warm water.

wrap in small towel....
then... transfer to large towel.....
wipe dry with towel and blow dry till 50% dry...
them move to small cage jemur under the sun...
and blow dry at the same time...
after 80% dry... take them out and blow dry and comb till 99% dry.

then give treats, food and water and let them rest in their condo..

as for my cat, he has a short hair coat. i havent sent him for any special or professional grooming so far. heard it's pretty pricey. so i give him a bath once a week. or every fortnight. i use hobo shampoo. im not sure whether it's a good or the best product in town. as far as im concern, it's pretty good. and i use warm water whenever i bathe him. for drying, i just use dry towels. and i clean his eyes and ears frequently so that he'll look clean & healthy.
