Haaaa aku baru jer selesai bagi mandi CDior dan Phaibun Nai. Mandi air paip biasa jer, takder nak mandi air suam ker, warm water dari heater ker. Pancut pakai hose dari paip direct jer. Lepas mandi hairdry sampai kering dan cuci telinga dengan cotton bud. Sekarang ni masing-masing dah relek tido....

Tak bagi Hijra mandi sebab dia masih menyusu anak. Takut anak-anaknya mabuk pulak kena shampoo medicated yang aku guna bila menyusu.

aku mmg dah mandikan kucing2 aku dari durang kitten lg tp tetap penakut air smp skrg.hai!! time mandilah yg paling seksa.smp bertarung dgn ibu kucing yg marah aku mandikan anaknya sebab anak2 dia jerit2 minta tolong.klu durang nampak aku pegang durang punya towel,suma menyorok dah tau mandi time. anyway, dulu aku bg durang mandi air paip aku nampak durang mengigil2 gila so aku skrg pakai air suam.oh,nasib baik toilet aku ada water heater.senang sket kerja.heh!!heh!!

kucing-kucing aku seronok apa korek telinga. Takyah nak pasong, tarik jer telinga, bila kena cotton bud aduhaiiii cam khayal jer dia kena korek. Tapi bila nak bagi eardrop tu ler baru dia cabut lintang pukang.

hahaha apa kata try cengkam dekat tengkuk dia then pasang hairdryer tu, mula2 dia memang meronta-ronta takut tapi kalau dia sudah rasa kehangatan hairdryer tu dia akan tenang.... ala macam masa doktor nak bagi suntikan dekat kucing juga, pegang tenkuk dia mcm tu la....

hmm.. let me share with you my experiance... my chitam also like that bila nk mandi... takut air...mmg habis tangan I kene cakar... nk mandi punyer pasal... huhuuhu... then... I mmg tak boleh tgk kucing tak mandi nih... so

first - sedia kan 2 besen, satu besen campurkan 2 portion air panas.. 4 portion air sejuk.. 2nd besen - 4 portion air sejuk & 1 portion air panas....

second - rendam kaki dia..bagi dia calm.. sbb... they always think "air" = "sejuk" and wash the feet first, then baru basuh bontot dia smp bersih.. make sure basuh bontot ngan sabun... huhuhuu... dan kemudian barulah boleh mandi as usual...

third - bilas guna second besen.. do the same way... rendam kaki.. then basuh bontot... baru bilas badan...

fourth - lap sampai kering... guna kan 2 towel kering...

fifth - spray coating and don't forget to urut belakang mereka... (jgn tekan kuat sgt cukup sekadar mereka feel comfortable) usually chitam bila bab akhir nih terus tido...

huhuhu... selamat memandikan kucing anda..

I had 2 cats years ago, indoor/outdoor, which I used to bath in the tub to keep down the fleas. And yes, this was a big chore. Luckily I had those doors on the shower so they couldn't escape during the process.
Now I have a indoor cat, and although he can only go onto the porch for outdoor enjoyment, I don't bath him, I do however use flea product just in case.

sy mandikn kucen sy cam biasa jer...air paip...tp mandi dlm sinki...sbb klu dlm blik air, nmpak gayung kne angkut pun da cbut lari..bg mandi guna syampoo 'avaan'..klu mandi kn dier mst kita pun kne mandi skali sbb habis bsah 1 bdn..kucen sy klu kne air dier nk panjat blkg bdn...umo 3 bulan setengah..tp yg bgusnyer pas mandikn kucen, bleh potong kuku dier sbb time nie kuku dier jd lembut ckit n dier pun xtrasa kuku dier kne potong...hehehehe

o.k here is general basic grooming (not a show grooming).


FIRST COMB

1. Use comb to take out dead hair. Cut any matted if necessary but be extremely careful. Check also if there any fleas or skin problem. If your cat suffer from a lots of dead hair, then its coat must be dry or skin problem.
2. Cut their nails and check the nails, if the nails is dirty then your cat must have an ear problem (as scat will scratch their ears).
3. Check the ear for any ear mites, yeast or anything. Should only dirty, clean the outer ear with cutton buds (gently) for a little inner side use ear cleaner and wipes with facial cottons.
4. Check nose, eyes, coat for any problems. Some coat may dry - usually because lack of water or coat vitamins.

BATHING

1. I use All Systems Syampoo (save for all colors), or whatever syampoo you have pls follow the instructions.
2. Do not use cold water, use warm water.
3. i do not bath the cat first, i put the syampoo and a little water (mixed) and spray on them. Gently massage. Be extra cautions on paws, backside.
4. Then flush them with water. Face to be avoided. Use wet towel for face.
5. Dry them using towel (or in my case, I use chamois towel).

NOTE : Grab any necessary armour if necessary.

DRYING

Most of people, like to put their cat in the sun for drying. This is BAD. Because, some of dark colors may spoilt with sun bathing and your cat have to lick itself till dry which cause of hairballs (some hairballs that stuck inside stomach is dangerous).

1. Use cage if you need to. Blow them dry using blower or you may use fan.
2. After dry, blow them again with hot air (such as hair dryer). Make sure the coat really dried or your cat will suffer matted.
3. Gently comb them, start with wide-tooth brush and when everythings fine, using the finer one.
4. Finally use shedding comb to take out all the dead hair once again..
5. Give them some threats. Up you go!
