my collection of hair brushes
I've been loving the idea of collecting beautiful things and in the cat fancy one of my favourite collections is brushes..........here are some of my collection over the last few years............
enjoy............ MASON PEARSON Handy Sensitive Brush with Boar Bristle..........Mason Pearson (made in London, UK) isn't quite a pet brush in nature. MP brushes are indeed for human use - however, MP has one of the most extensive line of products ranging from all sizes to different bristle materials used and softness. Over the years MP brushes have been proven as one of the most preferred professional grooming tools in the cat and dog fancy........... Needless to mention that the MP brushes were one of the "hottest" orders my friends and relatives in Hong Kong had asked me to buy for them (and their mums and girl friends so to speak) over the days when I was still a student in London............

Kent
While Mason Pearson was founded in 1885, this brush manufacturer and my other huge favourite, KENT, was indeed established much earlier in 1777 (now 231-year old) in England........
This Kent tortoise shell with pure black bristle brush is a big seller and its quality is second to none.........

It seems that all major brush manufacturer out there are very long-lived.......
This Italian manufacturer, KOH-I-NOOR, produces its lines in Italy since 1930. The Koh-I-Noor Line: hairbrushes, combs, shaving brushes are completely handmade with the same traditional precision quality than the original manufacturing. Each Koh-I-Noor item represents a quality product with element of elegance, prestige and sophistication........... When I received this Koh-I-Noor Large Tortoise Brush with Boar Bristle from the courier I was so pleased with the design and quality of its making........simply superb...........

Another Italian masterpiece...........from JANEKE.
The Janeke Chrome Grande (small size) comes in a very rare "chrome" finish which contrasts so much from the rest of all my other brushes.........I just think this finishing is splendid.........

From a relatively new French company, RAINCRY comes a brush with probably the nicest resin plastic holder in the world.......and it's light green!!!
With the Raincry Care Series Brush, you really have to touch the real boar bristle to believe how soft it is.............

Les Poochs
For your information all of the above brushes are human products..........
I have this strong believe that all premium brushes designed for human use are also suitable for my beloved feline friends. As you can see all of the above brushes use real boar bristle and they can be used for very fine to thick human hair, children or adults........and my years of experience tells me that they do perfect job for my Norwegian as well.............. HOWEVER.......... When it comes to slicker pin brushes I have to use a pet brush (since there is no such thing for human unless for torture club)..........and the finest pin brush I think is this one.........from LES POOCHS of France / USA...... The Les Poochs Soft Bristle Brush is definitely the best pin brush I've ever used thanks to it's superb flexibility in the handle neck......this flexible headed brush glides through the toughest of mats without damage to your pet's coat...... It DOES bounce and flex !!! And Les Poochs is also regarded as the "Louis Vitton" of pet accessories..........you won't believe how much they charge you for a collar, a leash, a dog bed or a pair of scissors........the shampoos are super aromatic though............
