I think the better question should be.."Do I really need it?"
If you have a LH cat (or dog), then logically the cat should remain longhair and not clipped down. One should only clip down a cat if there is a medical reason to do so or if the fur is so matted that it requires clipping. If you clip a LH down it will take no less than 3 months for the fur to grow back. If you intend to keep your cat's coat clipped down, then put the cat up for adoption and get a SH cat. I don't mean to sound harsh, if I do, then I apologise. It just makes me wonder why should someone own a LH cat and doesn't want the coat to be long? I really can't answer your questions on the clipper's life span, warranty etc. I don't need one at all. I only have the two longhair cats and I have learnt my lesson when it comes to clipping down a cat - safe to say, I won't clip down my two LH unless they really need it!

ok sinus problems are a whole new thing. but dont worry. there are things you can do. instead of spending your money on shaving your cat. try purchasing an air ionizer which can help remove pet dander from the air. also u can purchase online a solution which you rub on your cat weekly. it helps reduce cat dander so that your allergies wont be so bad. its basically for cats with allergic owners. remove all furry things from your home-if possible. things like carpets and heavy curtains which collect dust and dander and can aggravate your symptoms. bathing your cat more often also helps allergy sufferers. some suggest once a week but if you dont want to dry out the skin perhaps twice a month is better. overly dry skin sheds more dander in fact so you should try to avoid getting into this situation as well. good luck.. |

You could also try acupuncture treatments for your allergy. Tried it myself in September & it has been very effective for me. |
