Default Stain problem for pure white cat

Good day guys.

I have one white russian cat. Next week she will be 1 year old. The time that I bought her, the hair was white (pure..I guess) but now the hair turned it yellowish especially on top of her head and both chick hair. The reason why it turned yellow becoz a little bit careless of myself .... Which I have to admit . Now the hair colour was not shine as before. I've tried so many whithen shampoo to bright up back..but unfortunate its not work. Some said that my cat is point but it is not..since the bottom hair is white.

I asked around and some of them suggest to use grease oil (which I have to think twice) and axion (dish wash - I am not really keen to try). They tell me just rub the hair with one of that and wash it. Well... I think that will cause me more problem if Im not doin' properly...

The last resort which I think I have to do is just shave the particular part and let it grows back.

Any suggestion from you guys?

I've read somewhere from the internet from a professional persian groomer. One of the ingredient that she used is dishwash. Dont believe it? Believe it. Ripley's believe it or not

I read through the internet that professional groomer does the following for the white persian cat for shows;

1. Dish washing for the degreaser. The process was done in a fast manner and only for the affected area. Follow by quick wash.
2. For heavy stain, they use some sort of bleach agent mixed with warm water. Follow by washing.
3. Good quality shampoo then was used. Follow by washing.
4. Finally, this is important, they use white shampoo - good quality with blue based color. Rub and leave it for a while. Follow by washing.

Normally for show, the white cat was bathed once or twice a week and the grooming is consistent.

Haiyaaa how come I never read through all these thing before I buy the white cat ... anyway enjoy grooming the cats...

Hey All,

I have this problem too with the white fur portions getting yellowish in the beginning. There's this shampoo I used before called Bio-Groom Super White. That's the one that really helped removing the yellowish stains. Apart from that, haven't really seen any other commerical or home made remedies for this.

I got it from Pets Wonderland, maybe you guys with this problem can check it out. Take note however for stubborn stains, you might have to soak the area up for a few minutes for the shampoo to work its way through the stains.

And, one sure way to make the yellowish stains easier to clean on your cat's next major bath is to pay more attention to the white fur areas by daily cleaning using those wet cat wipes. Okay, not daily but several times a week as you please.

Aaah, diswasher from Axion, lovely smelling....used it as a degreaser when one of them had a real oily looking tail. I think the vet said it was a normal case for long haired male cats before neutering.

Cheers,

wooz....

Hi. Good day. I would like to share with my experience regarding whitening my cat's coat.

Before i also used different whitening shampoos but it don't work for my cats. until i use this whitening shampoo from US which is fortunately available in our local petshop in Manila, Philippines.

It's is called " ALL SYSTEM". most dog/cat owners here used that whitening shampoo and it is really really effective. Only a singel drop you need everytime u bathe ur cat. it will take sometime before u see the effect but it really whiten the coat of ur white cat.
