I know this section is for lost cats but my dog is missing and I hope that forummers could help keep an eye out for him.

Andy Lau is a 4+ year old Shih Tzu. He is just slightly larger than a larger cat - about 6.5 kg. He is mainly white with grey markings on the body and his ears are grey/black. His fur has been trimmed short except for his ears and tail. He has a red collar with a design of white bones on it, unless it has fallen off.

He was running after a car near Bandar Baru Sri Petaling on January 9th around 3pm. He could be in the Sri Petaling area or the Bukit Jalil area depending which side he ran towards. I have also checked all the way to the Kesas highway.

I'm attaching some recent pictures of his to help in identifying him.

I will. It must have been sad for you. From what I heard, Sri Petaling area is a bit famous for pet thieves.

Hope you could find him as soon as possible.

Oh gosh.. I pray that u'll find Andy Lau soon.. I'm scared to think what will happend to him if fall into a wrong hand... I'll ask my fren yg stay kat bkt jalil in case he saw Andy Lau...

Hi to all.. cats and dog lover... I have notice on almost every pet shop i and vet i go to there is people put up ads saying that they lost this dog and this cats... Well Sometimes i reliaze is the owner responsibility to keep the dog indoor... Well why i would say like that coz I myself has lost my cat 3 times before.. and well i manage to find them back.....(Last one i spend 4 hours until 5 am midnight)...and i know very clearly is my own fault didn't close up the door properly.....

By talking to most vet and petshop owner say the dog that the ads put usually never been found.. Anyway i also see someone like me adopting cat from the stray where sometimes it belongs to a owner.. but i tried to put up ads near by until 3 month also no people come and claim... Seem like wasting my time... so didn't borther now.. Just rehome the cat to a better home... (My comment is that i don't even know who is the owner.. well i didn try to scan the cat if there is microchip and the problem is no) Same goes to last year when i found a SHih Tzu almost same like your Andy Lau and i manage to rehome the dog pity i been walking around the housing area knocking almost all the house still no one know who's dog is this......

Guy & Girls Out there everyone watch out for pet thieves also... and keep all your cat and dogs properly....

Thanks to all of you for your support and the additional eyes and ears in the search for Andy.

He still has not been found. We have gone door to door in the areas closest to us and asked if anyone has seen or found him.

There have been so many contradictions - a security guard said that he had seen people in a white/silver car taking Andy. Road workers at the highway site said they saw him - but they saw him after the time the security guard said he was dognapped.

It is a really trying time for us, and it is almost impossible to sleep because each time I hear dogs barking I get out of bed and check if Andy has come back.

He may not be the smartest dog ever but he is full of love. Even our cats miss him because they don't have their partner for the mad run up and down the stairs, and no Andy to bully and force off the sofa and tussle over toys.

Yeah, i really hope you find Andy soon. My friend in Cheras lost her dog some years back & found the little fella at a petshop in Ampang 2 weeks later. She ended up paying the petshop to get her baby back.

Shiloh, I hate to break the news but I have to suggest this.

1) If you have micro chipped him, please lodge police report. Therefore if you found him somewhere or in other people's residents, you can prove this to the court.

2) Start looking for him in pet shops all around KL/Selangor.

Dogs or cats usually can find way home. If you have searched but you still cant find him, I have the feeling that he has been taken away or.. uhm, you know (I don’t want to say this).

Usually some kidnappers will send it back to you and claim for the reward but if they could sell to others or pet stores with higher bounty, they will sell away. I didn’t mean to make you feel sadder but as is not a new issue, I believe you should know.

Again, I am sorry for the loss. Good luck in finding him.
