Don't worry Melissa, I sure your cat will be there when you get home. I remember once I lost Christine in my house and even made the walks around the neighbourhood and finally I found her hiding in the store room.

GOOD NEWS! GOOD NEWS! GOOD NEWS!

Niki has been found. Yaay !!
When i went home yesterday, I searched all over AGAIN but couldn't find her.
Went to the was area (her fav place) and called her name. Then I could hear her meowing..I was so happy to hear her voice but could not place where it was coming from. Called her again..And she meowed. Went over to neighbours place - TADAK !
Ran down to the first floor-knocked on door for the apt at first floor - NO ONE AT HOME.
Went up to 4th floor again - called her and she meowed back
Ran down to third floor,knocked on the door - NO ONE AT HOME TOO. Tried his neighbour - ALSO NO ONE.
Ran down to second floor - The lady of the house was doing her dishes (could see fr outside..I'm no freak la ) -Knocked and told her I have lost my cat. Asked if she has seen or heard a cat meowing.
She was speechless at first and looked at me melopong-ing while pointing to the top opart of her wash area. Showed me in..and there was Niki..Looking nervous and antsy..
Called her and she replied with nervous meows.
Climbed on to her was area (like ahli bomba) and practically pried Niki off the grill..
It all paid off.. And I was one happy Mommy.
I was so relieved that tears just had to come ..
Niki has since been manja-ed with wet food (must be so hungry being stuck for 1 day), lots of water to drink and finally, the highest sleeping place (on top of the coat hanger) which is normally Ben's place (which is also the place to lepak in the room)
Dru's next task is to double proof the house..But untill then, my bomba/askar tak bertauliah, Niki is confined in my room.

To all friends who have consoled me in one way or another, THANK YOU SO VERY VERY MUCH ! You have helped me keep my nerves checked. Thank You, Thank You & Thank You once again...I'm so lucky to have all of you..

i'm happy you found your baby again actually no matter how cat proof a house is, a cat can still find mistakes by us... but lets try to cat proof as much as we can do...

i still remember a friend of mine that was thought missing twice. actually he was just sleeping on the chair under the dining table for two days straight. nobody saw him there until on the second day he woke up triumphantly cats are wondrous animals!

i also once thought my friend's cat gone missing. searched the whole house only to find him in the place i thought was impossible for him to hide, under my cage which was only 2 inch high. i am still wondering how a fat cat like him can squeeze thru...

I suspected she fell down 4 storeys..then only managed to jump up/climb up 1 storey...Luckily no broken bones or some one else will have a broken rib ..Thehehe
